Finally someone in the position of power has used common sense. The supreme court ruling in California is a step forward to equality among all people. I have heard many different responses from different groups of people and some make sense and others are way out there. Gay people are human beings just as other people. They should be treated no differently than others. Christians say that it is against God's word for this to be allowed. I hate to break it to you, but everyone doesen't believe in the Christian way. The Christian beliefs and morals are being crammed down everyones throats and they are being rejected. You can't force someone to believe as you do, ie FREEDOM OF RELIGION!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gays getting married will hurt NO ONE!!!!!!!!!! And in America, we don't always do what others find acceptable. But, just because you don't accept it doesn't mean that it is not right or accepted by others.  No one out there can tell me how two gays getting married is going to hurt you as a person or hurt your family. Why? Because it isn't in any way, shape, form or fashion. If you worried more about your own business and stayed out of everyone elses, this would be a better country.

As a follow up to the previous blog I posted concerning Paulding County and the lawmaking blunders, State Law says that a cab can pick up in the county or counties that they are permitted in and may transport the customer to any destination that the customer wants to go to. So, since State Law can not be superceeded by any local law, Paulding County is illegally enforcing a bogas and ridiculious law.

This is a very disturbing issue. A Victory Cab Driver recieved a ticket from law enforcement in Paulding County because he brought an intoxicated man from Cobb county into Paulding . The passenger was picked up in Marietta, Ga. but lived in Paulding County. He was being responsible by taking a cab home and not driving drunk. Paulding County has an ordinance that prevents cab drivers from other counties from dropping off passengers in their county. This sounds very outrageous to me. In otherwords, Paulding County is saying that if you go out of their county to partake in alcohol, you can not have a cab bring you home. So what are you suppose to do? Drive drunk and hurt or kill someone or yourself? Or get the taxi to drop you off at the county line and you can walk home and risk a charge of Public Intoxication. I really wonder who in the world sits around and makes these laws without thinking about how it will effect the community and the people in the community. Sounds like to me that Paulding County is wanting people to either stay in their county and party or drive home intoxicated.

Before anyone gets on their high horse about underage smoking and drinking hear me out here. An 80 year old woman was in the Race Trac Conveince Store on Barrett Parkway at Old 41 in Kennesaw on Thursday May 1st wanting to buy some lottery tickets. The clerk ask her for her I.D. to prove she was old enough to buy Lottery Tickets. You could clearly see that the woman was someones grandmother and that she had been around long before the Lottery was ever thought of in the State of Georgia. Then I stepped up to the counter and needed a pack of smokes. I was also carded and i am 42 years old. I have grey hair throughout my head and face. I in no way look 18 or anywhere close to that age. The clerk said that this was a company wide policy and I told him that all Race Tracs did not follow that policy. Most convience stores use a little thing that seems to be a fleeting thought in todays society and that is COMMON SENSE!!!!

So Race Trac Corp executives that sit in your plush seats and makes these policies, let me ask you. Where is your common sense when it comes to the operation and convience of your stores? Convience? That is the joke of the day and Race Trac is the one that I can't help but look at and laugh.
