There's an old saying, You can always take the person out of the trailer park, but sometimes you can't take the trailer park out of the person.

Mike Vick's actions certaintly exhibit this mentality. Just as some of those who have won the lottery only to find themselves broke a year or two later. It is a self-defeatest behaviour. It's all about making adult decisions in life.

Now having said that, I will say this: "Mike Vick should not spend more than 5 years." Yes it was cruel what he did and it is my OPINION that 5 years will fit the crime." I know, some of you want him to recieve more, some of you want him to recieve less. That's fine, I'm just stating what I FEEL fits the CRIME. I could be wrong. I understand that. But it is NOT in MY HANDS.

Thatlisagirl, I agree it's rediculous that his lawyer is claiming that he did not "SMOKE" the reefer but was around a bunch of people in a room that were. Isn't that GUILTY BY ASSOCIATION anyways? WEll, I hope this is the last we here of VICK. There is alot more important issues waiting to be debated.

I think that it's already been established that Vick is lacking intelligence. He deserves everything that's coming to him.

There have never been a Black Leader or Athlete who inspire other Blacks, that haven’t been subject to a conspiracy by the powerful Whites in the White majority. Dog fighting has always been a misdemeanor but the powerful White majority simply changed it to a federal offense, fabricates charges, conducted illegal searched and spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to misled the public.

Escalating this misdemeanor offense to a federal crime doesn’t mean the conspirators are smart, they are simply a majority in a Democracy. The Michael Vick issue is simply a disguise for racist White to vent their hatred at Blacks and this is the absolute truth.

Powerful Whites from the White majority in a Democracy created a disguise so racist White people (who are not a majority in the group) could vent their hatred. Again this group is not really smart they are just a powerful part of the majority in a Democracy with history racism.

One sad fact about this issue and conspiracy is that many Whites don’t realize that they are been inspired by some of the old and unacceptable racism from the past.

And...there have been several black leaders, atheletes, musicians, artists that not only inspire other blacks, but the entire human race....

Obviously, AL55 doesn't even know his own history. Does a "Black Leader" HAVE to be an Athelete?? No, George W. Carver (yes, a Black Man) was NOT an athelete however, was a SCIENTIST ..(Imagine that! a BLACK MAN who can THINK!...unheard of! it must be a mistake!..why he's just another "Uncle Tom"..by today's black standards)...He found over a 100 uses for the PEANUT!
OR, howabout GARRET MORGAN!...(...let me check here for a second...ummmm....GOD!...ANOTHER BLACK MAN!...this can't be right!)..it seems this "Uncle Tom" actually INVENTED the FIRST TRUE RESPIRATOR MASK..and it seems was USED to SAVE a bunch of "WHITEY's" that were trapped in an underground tunnel 250 feet under Lake Erie! Oh, and MORGAN HIMSELF! was one of the RESCUERS!
YEah, I can see how these two men were just not worthy of LIONIZING from the Black Community!... By the way, Garrett Morgan did not have a formal education past elementary school. So did he sit down and say "Woe is me"? No, he hired a TUTOR!

Please don't assume you know what the "black community" feels based on the views of few individual that have posted or commented on your blogs. There are plenty of "Black" individuals non-athletes or public figures that are often overlooked that I feel are role models.

I would request that you look up the true meaning of Uncle Tom because I don't think any African American or "Black" would feel that the individuals that you have referenced are Uncle Toms.

It is easy for someone to say that they know how a race feel based on there actions. I would not begin to state I know what it is like to be "white" or "hispanic" or even "asisan". I can say I know what it is like to be an American or a woman!

Please take a second in the middle of you rant to think about it! If there is nothing to fuel the fire it will not continue to burn!

Guess what? If I was Vick-I'd be smokin' the BLEEP! I'd be enjoying anything and everything that I could, while I could. He knows he's gonna do some time, he'd better have fun while he can. 'Cause it's gonna suck to be in jail and be nothing but a number (and not the #7). At least he'll have lots of fans to console him, and be his buddy while he's there.
