Thus far Kwame Kilpatrick has cost Detroit and Wayne County around $12,000,000.00 in lawsuits, legal expenses etc.. 

The Mayor earns around $200,000.00 a year. He would have to thus far work for free 60 years just to pay back the principle amount he owes The City Of Detroit and Wayne county.

The question is how much could you lose the company you work for  and still have a job?

I'm sure it's a little less than what The Mayor of Detroit has got away with so far.

The supporters of Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick make the point what the Mayor did with other women on his own time is no one elses business as long as he was doing a good job running the city.

I AGREE!

The only problem I have is with the short term memory of his supporters when it comes to the money he stole. I can put up with a lot of things, but not a thief.

For the people that still support the Mayor please let me refresh your memory and show there is much more to his disgrace than cheating on his wife.

1. Sued by 4 Police Officers and lost the City $8.4 Million Dollars (Deputy chief Gary Brown and Officer Harold Nelthrope), $400,000 Dollars ( Officer Alvin brown) and $200,000 dollars to (Detective Alvin Bowman). All for doing their jobs they were either demoted or fired because of investigations of wrong doing of the Mayor.

2. Faces a $150,000,000.00 lawsuit for the death of an exotic dancer at an alleged party at The Mayors mansion who was found shot to death after an alleged fight with the Mayors wife that came home early! An alleged Police report from this woman for some reason passed through peoples hands but has never been seen since!

3. Had an affair with his Chief of Staff and allegedly used City funds for their get togethers.

4. Allegedly gave unfair city contracts to his friends that are on text messages.

5. Allegedly used $8,600.00 Detroit Civic funds to take his family on a vacation instead of spending it on the city.

6. Allegedly made up a job so a friend could have a high paying city Goverment job. The friend was forced out!

7. Had the City pay $24,500.00 for a( lease) of a Lincoln Navigator for his use. after the news got wind the truck was never seen again. If the amount had been $25,000.00 he would have needed permission of the City council.

The list goes on and on and could cost the city of Detroit in the end over 100 Million Dollars!

Kwame supporters are your memories coming back?

Retired Judge Leonard Townsend today was subing for another Circuit Court Judge and handling the arrainment of Kwame Kilpatrick and Christine Beaty.

Everyone in the courtroom expected the arraignment to be uneventful with a not guilty plea and a bond to be set. Instead Judge Townsend decided to change the bond rulings of 2 other Judges and told Kwame Kilpatrick he could travel anywhere he pleased.

Townsend made it clear that special rights not givin to the average person must be givin to Kilpatrick because he is the Mayor of Detroit.

Assistant Prosecutor Lisa Lindsey did a great job explaining why this sudden act was wrong, but Judge Townsend made it quite clear of his agenda and that the law didnt matter.

Judge Townsend warned the Prosecutor she was losing her composure and all I could think was the Judge was losing his mind.

It seems that every publication, Tv news station and radio show are all for the bail out of the Detroit Zoo / City of Detroit.They show us heart felt commercials with young children and act like it would be the end of the world if the Zoo closed down.

The truth is the Detroit Zoo doesnt even rank in the top 25 of zoos in the nation. A matter of fact the Detroit Zoo has a very poor record over the years for not maintaining proper facilities and neglect of its animals. I'm old enough to remember when they lost the right to have the Great apes and when some of the Tigers had to be put to sleep because of neglect.

Even if you are in support of the zoo Millage please be honest that on trips to the zoo you wish the exhibits were more in view of the patrions. Most of the time you see a sign saying an animal is there but you are never able to spot one.

I'm for building a brand new state of the art zoo with area tax mileages and to take away the control The city of Detroit seems to have. If Detroit can not afford a zoo than it should get out of the business and let there be a Michigan Zoo.

Please no more money going to the old run down zoo with the name kwame kilpatrick on the tower.

When Mit Romney was running for President I'm sure you remember all the adds that saturated the television ad spots. 

Mit wanted to show the public he was the best person for the job based on his abillity to run a profitable mega company.

Once Mr. Romney lost the Presidential Primary the blitz of ads stopped and we returned back to our normal other stupid tv ads.

Just this last week I noticed that many of the Amway ads have been creeping back on to the airway. Their not showing quite as many as they did during the Primary, but I wonder why they are sudddenly back?

Could it be that Mit Romney is putting himself back on the tube because he will be running with John McCain as Vice President?

What do you think? 

Would Mit be the right choice?

It seems Francine Stinger has been stung by her own stinger in the foot and will be lucky to hold on to her job.

Francine was quite aware an investigative branch of FOX 2 news to which she was part of and the FBI were watching certain parties and their alledged illegal activities.

Common sense would have been to have run away from the situation early on to save her reputation or what was left of it . Francine decided to stay on the payrole of these parties being investigated and can not be too shocked the light shined on her!

I feel FOX 2 Detroit did the right thing by cleaning house and getting rid of an employee that has no concern for the company she works for nor the public trust!

I didnt know until recently that Romulus Michigan has it's very own Grand Prix.

A matter of fact it runs several days and is open free to the public.  

The great thing about this Grand Prix is you can be a spectator or you can drive in it. It doesnt matter what kind of car, truck or motorcycle you drive because all are welcome and your vehicle doesnt need to meet any race car specifications to join in.

Take I-94 to the Detroit Metropolitan Airport exit and enter on to the Airport service drive.

You will pass several signs marked 45 MPH and several speed devices telling you how fast you are going, but just ignore them because they serve no purpose! You do have to slow down to around 15 MPH over the speed limit while passing airport terminals, but as soon as you pass them it's your choice how fast you go.

I know some of you are thinking the Airport Police will pull you over and give you a ticket. I assure you the Airport Police are well aware of the situation and are never to be found. A matter of fact I spoke to an Airport officer today outside the McNamara Terminal this morning just before 8 AM and he stated they are quite aware of it and for me to just hurry and get moving.

So if your bored or broke and need something to do just take the short ride to Detroit Metropolitan Airport for a free day of fun and racing.

Last night I went to Walmart and when I returned home I noticed something really strange about all of the items I had bought!

I looked at my items over and over again in total shock of what was printed on each of the items!

I had bought eight dinner plates, eight salad plates, eight cerial bowls, drinking glasses, picture hanging stuff, a five gallon plastic bucket and multiple other small items.

The shock was that all the items said made in the U.S.A.. What are the odds of buying just over 50 items in Walmart and everything was made in the U.S.A.?

It has to be like winning the Lotto that not one item was made in china, India or some other Country that hates America!

I guess you can still find items made in the U.S. if you really look.

I just moved 6.87 miles from Canton to just inside Romulus Michigan.

I had to renew my auto insurance and I noticed it went up $115. I was told it went up because I moved to Romulus and that more cars are stolen and there are more collisions in this city.

I told the agent I dont have collision nor theft on the car so why would it go up? I couldnt get an answer that made any sense and was told thats just the way it is.

The truth is my car is much safer here than it was in Canton because in Canton we had a community parking lot out of site and hearing of the apartment I lived in!

In Romulus I have private parking right next to my home in direct sight and sound if anyone was to try something. Also when my car is parked for the night it also sits less than 30 feet from a fire hydrant and how many people can say that? lol

It would be nice if I could get a reasonable answer how 6.87 miles makes such a difference!

The auto producers are under constant pressure to make cars safer and at the same time Congress is demanding the miles per gallon to go up dramatically as well!

The safety devices on a vehicle can add up to over half a ton in weight and has made many cars go backwards in fuel economy!

The 1986 Honda Civic DX received 52 mpg city and 57 mpg highway compared to the 2007 model that receives 30 mpg city and 40 mpg highway!

With all the mandatory safety devices the Honda weighs more than 700 pounds more than it did in 1986!

They were right on the money as far as telling people to call poison control as soon as possible letting them know how much of what product had been swallowed! Poison control will then give you instructions on what to do.

There is one thing not mentioned in the newscast that may be the difference between life and death if done right away! It is so simple and may give you a small window of time til you are able to get the person to the hospital.

Simply lay the person on their left side .........................

By doing this you aid breathing and it slows the progress of the ingested poison circulating within the bloodstream.

I learned this in my EMT classes and I thought  it may be helpful just in case the situation happens to one of your family members.
