Freedom of the press.... Freedom of expression... Freedom of information.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we the People of the United States of America had an expanded and concise definition of what freedom of the press meant?  What if we decided that what we wanted most as a nation is to know the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth all the time?

Well... then we would need a representative news media that had a clear objective with guidelines acceptable to our ideals of peace and freedom.  We are a nation of ideals... our ideals come before us every day as we go about making laws and accepting the enforcement and authority of those laws upon our person.  We need to have a new operational procedure consistent with the establishment of these ideals... these laws that our collective conscience has deemed most beneficial to our highest intentions of life, liberty and the persuit of happiness.

In our day we have seen a new branch of our government that we seem to want to remain in denial of.  That new branch of our government is most accurately described as the American News Media.  Our present government dating very strongly from the first televised presidential debates has become more and more the tool of those in government who have the knowledge of how best to implement the use of wide spread dissemination of information.

How do we address this?  How do we switch from press based on the capitalistic and governmental uses that are now being applied to press based on the ideals of peace and freedom that require truth and accurated unbiased reporting?

Well... we elect someone to ask the questions that a majority of us deem most appropriate and beneficial.  The President of the United States of America has a Press secretary that answers questions so if follows that we the people of these United States elect a Press Secretary that asks them.

I suggest that we work toward electing a Peoples Press Secretary with a clear cut set of practical objectives and perhaps a pioneering constitution of operational procedures for what mass media trial and error has already shown us to be responsible and irresposible reporting of news.

So... who should we elect?  Anderson Cooper and CNN?  Sean Hannity and Fox?  ...statueman and myfoxla?
