OK so Ward, June, Wally and the Beaver are all sitting around the television today cheering on Doctor Dobson as he gave Obama what for on how he views this wonderfully free country as long as you're a christian.

Here we go again... first they call him an appeaser like ole Wilt Chamberlain (or was it Neville)... then they try to take him out for not taking government campaigne funds(a brotha that don't take welfare how dare he)... now they gonna really get him for not accepting the fact that this country is mostly christian and everybody seems to know that and accept that but Barack Hussein Obama.

Here we go again...  crying out that the typical leer jet liberals are going to march us into another world trade center cause republicans do war right.   Only now ole James Dobson is going to sit this election out cause Mc Cain ain't as conservative as he thought.  Wow... John may be craftier than even the Obama camps giving him credit for.  Nothing saying Dobson knows that to... it is, after all, an election.

Yeah... hold on... the beaver is asking me if I'd like to go outside and play catch.   Well, I love the Beaver, he's a good boy and Ward and June are such nice people who usually look alot more deeply at what's going on in their country... sometimes they even ask me what I think and I appreciate that.  "Oh no... wait a second Beaver... Wally!  Eddies here!"

(So in a nut shell... Senator Obama challenges christians to make their arguements according to reason and not just according to scripture.  This is a very novel approach to an old arguement and he's going to win it.  Dobson is looking like an offended Hannity and is showing why Republicans don't want to talk to anyone without asking unaswerable questions.  Alan Keyes, the black republican who ran against Obama in the senate race questioned Obama's christianity and this is still a personal attack on Obama's beliefs.  Republicans had their chance to groom a black presidential candidate but it looks like the secular humerist family guys happy gay baby democrates stole their chance.   Republicans tried to legislate morality since conversion was too hard and time consuming.   Conservative Evangelicals need to get a clue... survival might require revival and that within and not without since Dobsons message is sure falling on deaf ears outside of his own followers.  After all it's hard to focus on a family when dads in jail and momma's on drugs and the only job offers coming are from the guys on the corner.   Boy that's a big nut shell.)

And whose fault is this? Maybe if your so-called black "leaders" had'nt repeatedly told the masses that they are "less-than" and can't compete on a level playing field without special entitlements, they wouldn't turn to crime. But hey, I must be a racist for stating that truth.

"Soak Up The Sun"
(By Sheryl Crow)
My friend the communist
Holds meetings in his RV
I can't afford his gas
So I'm stuck here watching TV
I don't have digital
I don't have diddly squat
It's not having what you want
It's wanting what you've got

[CHORUS:]
I'm gonna soak up the sun
Gonna tell everyone
To lighten up (I'm gonna tell 'em that)
I've got no one to blame
For every time I feel lame
I'm looking up o I'm gonna soak up the sun
I'm gonna soak up the sun

(So please "lighten up"... my only point by the comment was that some folks in this country grow up without a family to focus on. And that my friend... is rampant in this society not exclusive to black people. Why are you making it into a razzal izzu?)

No a person is never a racist for stating truth. But it is the height of ignorance to call a level playing field when depending on ones demographic growing up in the local trailer park can lessen opportunity as much as growing up in public housing. Why on earth would you assume I was only talking about black people? Most of the parolee's that I stood in front of who were trying to change they're lives were Euro/Anglo American.

But you're right though... many of their so called extremist leaders tell them they are downtrodden by the Jews and the Gays and the Blacks and the sell out Fundamentalist blind white America. In fact many of them want to start a White History Month and and have a WET to offset the BET. Yes... we blacks have cornered the market on oppressed thinking... palease.

Reason? Would a reasonable man who claims that this nation needs to get past the racist rhetoric and actions of the past, indoctrinate his children with the same type of anti-America hate-speech from birth? Elections are about judgement of one's character. Obama fails miserably.

"anti-America hate-speech"

Don't you mean "anti white right better baske in our light big brother every thing we do is patriotic and good no matter how idiotic it may seem so take our patronistic reasoning without questioning us even if you're literate cause your a rarity anyway and probably think we're oppressing you" speech?

The character of the Republican Party is at stake here. He's winning the arguements cause you've chosen to be "politically incorrect" which translate to little more than being impolite, inconsiderate, rude and obnoxiously self righteous in representing sound principles but not living them. Form without substance... clouds without rain. But God bless America inspite of you... (not you personally but let the reader understand... I'm talking about winning an election, a war, and the ideals and hearts of the American People... to my mind many republicans have given up even trying.) Thou shalt not whine.

You mistake me for a Republican. While I have such leanings I have been a registered democrat my whole voting life. Fortunately, my parents worked very hard so that I could get a good education. In this country, there is nothing a democrat politician fears more than an educated voter.
The republican party has plenty of bad seeds.(See RINOS) That may explain some of failures, but the reality is that John McCain has been trying to knock some sense into these so called "conservative" republicans for years. They didn't listen, now they're #2. While John McCain is far from my first choice for President, the prospects of an Obama Presidency frightens me. And rightfully so. If the African Americans need a "black" President, then please, let it be Dr. Condeleeza Rice. By far the smartest woman in Washington DC.

The character of the Republican Party is at stake here.

Well... I believe that black conservative democrates would do well to transfer to the republican party en masse to help clean up the rhetorical riff raff and get us back on track. An oppressed people can smell out a shyster but for my part I'm not completely convinced that Obama is all that scary. After all... the folks planning to try alittle love and tenderness on him are more likely to slip through the cracks so he is putting the lives of his whole family on the alter of public service. And excuse me but Reverend Wright is vindicated on the attack being on his church and not just him. The enemies of freedom and peace are about to be smoked out in ways that we could not have forseen and it may be that brother against brother will be more than a civil war prophecy twice come in our land. But for my part I'm betting cooler heads will prevail and those infiltrating the extremist groups poised and ready to quell the many horrible scenarios we are faced with should Obama win. Unfortunately the same would be the case if it were Rice or Powell as a front runner... we still have work to do in this country on an issue that like the forgotten war of Korea gives a sort of 38th parallel kept in check by an army of rational people of faith and reason... or "Americans" as it were.

Happyg seems to be very far to the right. Obama is doing something that Democrats should have done long ago and if he can just pinch of a 20-30% of the Evangelical vote it will be almost impossible for McCain to win. I do not know if that will happen but it seems likely considering Obama's considerable support among younger Evangelicals who care about issues besides abortion.

Demboy, once again the Dems have chosen a far left loony to be their representative. In a year when the Republican candidate should barely be a blip on the screen, this race is still too close to call. Even with a marginal republican candidate. Now with that being said, it dopesn't mean the liberal loons won't be parading around with their noses in the air telling us all that BO is going to win. But be assured, the normal people will be out voting in force in November; and once again, the Americans will win.

Everyone,

Don't be surprised if a You Tube of Focus On The Family appears, regarding the things that went on during the show on Tuesday 6/24/08. I'm about to give that show some careful attention, to hear where Dr. James Dobson is going with it.

By the way, Barry Obama did make one big mistake in saying this: "Even if we did have only Christians in our midst, if we expelled every non-Christian from the United States of America, whose Christianity would we teach in the schools? Would we go with James Dobson's or Al Sharpton's?" HUGE MISTAKE Barry-O!

Obama's big blunder is this: he implies that Dr. James Dobson is a pastor; Dobson is not a pastor - he is a licensed clinical psychologist.

Anyways, we'll see where this goes.

Statueman, kudos to you!

BillORight
thanks for dropping by my friends

Happyg good to meet you I think we've sparred before.

I think Obama is going to win this engagement by sheer force of his universal arguementation. You see most people get to the point where they stop in an arguement and say "well, you're ok with me but we just agree to disagree"

What Obama does is starts there... stays there and ends there. He's brilliant at it and he's got conversational mortar fire already zeroed in on your position because he know's where folks are going before they get there he carefully gauges the reactions to the last few sniper rounds.

Have no doubt, he's so clever at making his opponents look bad that it's either led of God for our benefit or allowed of God for our punishment. He's the Mahommed Ali of debate...

he floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee.

If you want to beat him you better start listening to me.

Each and everytime BO opens his mouth unscripted, he slowly defeats himself. Many BO supporters immediately suggest one is a "racist" if they bring to light BamBam's shortcoming. America will have a black President soon, but it will be on Condi's terms.

Uhhh...which unscripted remark has hurt him? With every gotcha he come out smelling like a rose. "Clinging to guns and religion" is a pointed remark and aimed directly at the middle majority of those who have had quite enough of extremist in both parties. He's getting you with a gothcha and you're going to keep bringing it up until folks start saying "he must've been right cause you folks keep repeating it so much"

me thinks thou dost protest too much... now go flick that chip off your shoulder ole boy you're starting to look alittle red of neck.

Majority middle of the road opinions are not in polls they are felt by those with the psychic powers to feel it. You're extremist views will be your down fall... remember it's what we all say after the argueing is over... that's what Senator Obama has tapped into and this kind of talent may actually serve us well in the presidency. But I believe Mc Cain has that same talent... he's a Maverick who must do what Clinton did to win. Clinton won sounding more like Reagan than Reagan did. Mc Cain will win if he sounds more like Clinton than Clinton did.

Really HappyG because I think you are stereotyping Obama supporters. I for one think you can vote for McCain without being racist. Oh wait I am an Obama supporter. How could that be? Oh and of all those 73% of voters who disaprove of George Bush (Of which you are probably not one) who is going to vote for McCain? On the big issues they have virtually the same positions. If you want to deny Obama's appeal why not start denying other things like gravity?

hello all! imagine that happy, mystere & statueman, how on earth did i find you HERE! LOL

"I think Obama is going to win this engagement by sheer force of his universal arguementation. " ahhhh & therein lies the rub "universal arguementation" this whole liberal interpretation of the bible to suit man's ideas.

Obama has 3 really HUGE problems with his claim of "Christianity"

1. he is pro abortion, HUGE no no.........HUGE

2. he seems to think that there are many paths to heaven (ie: being a good daddy) there is only ONE path to heaven & that is through Jesus Christ and ONLY through him.

3.) he says he believes the theory of evolution. the bible is CLEAR on this, GOD and only GOD created MAN..........

also, he claims that he didn't KNOW about the baloney that was going on from the pulpit in his church..........sure he did.

Obama is one of these "faux christians" that seem to be so popular now. they THINK they are Christians because they go to church, give to the poor, are good parents, etc etc. but yet, they fly in the face of the written word of GOD.

Of course they THINK they are Christians because they have not yet, and most of them never will, have a personal relationship with Christ. THAT and only THAT relationship is what makes one a Christian.

Hey dprin,

I'm wondering though if you agree with my main assesment that in presenting the faith like many chose to do with a Carlinian political incorrectness if we do the "love of Christ" a dis-service. After all the father of political incorrectness was an atheist.

When did we get to the point where being polite meant compromise? The thrust of my reasoning is that if "I AM" is the only way to heaven then do we who name the name of Christ truly represent the Gospel of Grace? Or have we decided that bible bashing is the way to go? After all when Christ says "no man cometh unto the father but by me" are we accurately portraying him by making that statement a battle cry against the best intentions of the liberal agenda?

statueman read my blog view my photos
Jun 30, 2008 | 5:06 PM

I don't know how to phrase it but I guess what I'm trying to say is that claiming something is not the same as accurately representing it. There has been in my opinion a falling away from the main goal in the life of American Christianity. I have a wonderful evangelist explosion lesson... find a good christian church and invite people to come.

But what if that church is preaching politics from the pulpit? Would you feel comfortable inviting your liberal neighbors there if you knew that their points of view would be offended? Something really irks me when I sat for years listening to political commentary from the right that was twice as bad as what Rev Wright said.

Thus saith the Lord, "Do not think evil of the brothers and do not judge them incorrectly with words I have not given you to speak."

And believe it or not... I don't think our Lord and Savior has told anyone to prophesy against the faith claimed by Senator Barack Hussein Obama. I'm sorry... nothing in the "presentation" of such remarks do I find remotely spiritual or beneficial.

dprin it is perfectly okay for you to hold that opinion about Jesus but shouldn't our president's job to respect all religions because he is the president of people of all different religions not a bible association. The reason Obama is so successful on Faith is he does not stick to a few issues and force everyone to agree or disagree on them as you do for a litmus test of religion. He also supports religion period as opposed to any religion per say which makes a person very biased when talking to someone of another religon.
