A day or so before, but a producer mentioned that Cook will win regardless of the vote.  This is to right a wrong.  The Daughtry thing of a year ago and the falling ratings of Idol.  Conventional wisdom is that Cook will sell more than the other David, giving a little more relevance to the winner, thus making people pay attention to next years bunch.

DC will win because he got the most votes. No matter what both DC and DA will get music contracts. DC's new song "The World I Know" will be a hit, and will outsell all 3 of DA's.

DC will win because he earned the win! He has been the most consistent this season.

The second best thing, besides DC winning was that Simon actually apologized for his critiques, last night.

Well David A should change his name to Mister Runner Up. He was runner up at AI and also a few years back at Star Search. He should also change his area code to 0-4-2. Which stands for 0 for 2 in talent competitions. But don't you worry he still has the Utah State Fair Karaoke competition ahead of him.

All kidding aside, DA has a great voice for ballads and could possibly do well in that niche.

It was an incredible night for DC and they should have let him do the Nickelback song "HERO" on his own because he rocked that song. DA was no where in the same class on that song. Sim on was right he said there was a knockout but he never said it was DA. 12 million votes margin of victory, DC wins by a knockout.

First of all, guys, Simon was always with DC for the win. That's why Simon used his reverse psychology to manipulate DC's fans (at the expense of crushing DC after his performances) to vote harder to ensure the DC win, IMO. I think Paula should have taken the opportunity to also apologize to Jason for the misunderstanding. It would have helped her credibility. I will say that I found Paula's comments more enlightening than Randy's or Simon's this season. I did enjoy Randy's comment about the ending note on DC's U2 song, and it was unbelievable! DC's "The World I Know" was so underrated by the judges. This was a show stopping performance and this song will be #1 on all our radio stations soon!
