Where were you?

Yes, we did have some fun! Shock and I have been trying to coordinate something with fellow bloggers. We would really like to get a bunch of us together to greet and meet each other.

Shock, I'm not available next Monday. I am available for next Wednesday, though. That would be 9-24-08.

You couldn't get a job at McDonalds and become district manager after 143 days of experience.

You couldn't become chief of surgery after 143 days of experience of being a surgeon.

You couldn't get a job as a teacher and be the superintendent after 143 days of experience.

You couldn't join the military and become a colonel after a 143 days of experience.

You couldn't get a job as a reporter and become the nightly news anchor after 143 days of experience.

You couldn't get a job as Director of Nursing after 143 days experience as an RN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BUT....

We all have to start somewhere. The senate is a good start, but after 143 days, that's all it is - a start.

AND, strangely, a large sector of the American public is okay with this and campaigning for him. We wouldn't accept this in our own line of work, yet some are okay with this for the President of the United States of America? Come on folks, we are not voting for the next American Idol!!!

The Libertarian party , is a party of Americans , that believe in our constitution .This is hard to consolidate on such a forum . I was first a Democrat . After becoming involved in that party , as well as their practices , I became a Republican . Then , after becoming involved in their pratices , I became a Libertarian in 1990 .
our forefathers could not go up against the people that funded the war for our freedom against England , so , they spent many years devoloping a system , where fredom would become self evident ,.

We are fiscal conservatives , but , social liberals .
We want the government out of our faces and pockets , but , want people to live the way they want , not the way a piece of legislation wants them to live .
I would love to meet you and discuss this at lenght someday .
I find you very interesting [ cute picture too , very attractive ! ].

We differ from the other 2 parties , in that we don't have a political agenda , other , than keeping America , America !

You can get kicked out of the Libertarian party for being dis-honest , or , miss-leading in a campaign .
What a concept ! Telling the truth ! Backing up what you say ! I know this , because I have contributed to Libertarian campaigns [ writing commercials and such ].

It's a small world, Sarge. I live in St.Clair County, too. Fair Haven to be exact, but don't tell anybody.

So far, Shock and I have met on Mondays, in the morning at Dimitri's on 23 mile and Gratiot. The waitresses do a good job of keeping the coffee cups full, with a smile, while showing off some pretty eyes. (Right Shock?) One of them lives in the same trailer park I used to live. No trailer trash, though!

Shock and I don't get distracted, though. We stay on topic talking about how great it is to be an American in this day and time! (Well, rarely distracted). During our last visit to Dimitri's, like Shock mentioned, we accessed the Fox 2 blogs and had some fun reading the posts, posting comments on some of them.

Our goal is to get enough of us together and invite Fox2 big shots to make an appearance, too. That would be a blast and quite a perk for Fox2 and the bloggers who can make it.

Weekends are kind of tight for me right now, Sarge. What days/times do you travel to the 23 mile and Gratiot area?

Or what about a bowling party?

Stooltime, those ideas sound good. My days are long, up at 3 am out of work @ 3:30 pm Sterling heights. I don't get over to Gratiot but would make a special trip if I had advance notice. I car pool and would have to drive myself on a week that wasn't my turn to drive.

Cool you live in St, Clair also. I have a weird address, it is Imlay city even though I live three quarters of a mile into St. Clair county but my kids go to Capac schools.

We probably need to get as many of us together at a restaurant and then plan other outings from there.
