Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez has said it best. He said that Iraq is a complete nightmare. I hate to say it...Well, duh!!!! Actually, I enjoyed saying that, it's rather cathartic. It is so obvious that our government did not learn from the lessons of Vietnam. Our politicians, who are mostly lawyers, have no idea about running a military campaign. They like to assert their opinions, but guess what, they suck. Their incompetence is getting our boys and girls killed, not to include the countless lives of innocent Iraqi civilians. As a former soldier, I understand that there will always collateral damage, but come on, this is completely unnceccesary. Lt. Gen. Sanchez was not given his 4th star, forcing him into retirement because of the Abu Ghraib prison snafu. He was just a puppet of the administration, and did what he was ordered to do. I'm not an advocate or torture, but I do understand that physical coercion is tantamount to protecting our troops. If the military commanders were allowed to conduct the war their way, we would have been finished sooner, and with less casualties.

I'm a veteran of the Army and a die hard libertarian. I am really tired to see the moral fabric of this country being torn to shreds by blow hard elitists who make careers out of going to Washington suppossedly for the people. I have an interest in all things history and politics. I live in Acworth with my wife Simone, who is from Brazil. We've been married 2 years and plan to be married many more.
