A primary object....should be the education of our youth in the science of government. In a republic, what species of knowledge can be equally important? And what duty more pressing...than communicating it to those who are to be the future guardians of the liberties of the country?".....

George Washington

Education, and I cannot stress it more, is the key to our life as a nation. Our youth are being educated by a mass of teachers that subscribe to the liberal mantra. Likewise, our adults are subscribing to the liberal bias being thwarted upon us by the liberal media.....to include Hollywood. In my years as an adult, I have yet to find a politician who fervently defends, or even knows what the constitution entails.

This is worth repeating to every American.......Our country will be begin to digress if we, the constituency, do not change our ways. George Orwell was rather prophetic when he penned "1984" and the government he spoke of.

As always, comments are appreciated.

Govt. Schools are just that....Government Schools...controlled by the Government, taught by Government, and Govt. employees. Our govt. is basically split into two parties. Republican and Democratic. Like anything in nature there must be balance. However, anytime you divide and classify people into groups you are "MANAGING". Question: "Why do the American people need "MANAGING".
"DIVIDE AND CONQUER" is the tactic. Question: "WHY DO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE NEED CONQUERING?" These questions should be foremost in one's mind. What is the 'overall' objective of the govt. for it's people?

Is it what our Forefather's wanted? Most definitely not. If we are to be a NATION OF ONE PEOPLE then why are we then put into "GROUPS"? Groups are used to 'seperate and classify for systematic manipulation'.

Why do the American People need to be manipulated?..... Answering these questions may scare you.

I agree that education is key here. However, alot of what is vital in the schools just keeps getting cut out (lack of funding, or lack of community activism)- for instance, kids should learn alot more about the government than they do, and be encouraged to get involved. Also, phys. ed., driver's ed., music, -all being cut out due to lack of funding. Yet, I'm paying more and more taxes into the schools (as are most of us). So, now what? Maybe we still have to back up, put the blame on the politicians at fault, and take our government back.

Yes, Russell and Jokester, Education IS THE KEY. However, it is not the complete answer.
I am not saying everyone should grab their shotgun and run down to city hall but not allow 'empty' responses to hard questions be accepted as a satisfying answer.
For too many times I have witnessed politicians answers to questions that have no basis and/or left ambiguous by design.

Basically, I'm saying to 'call' their bluff. Hold their feet to the fire and don't let up.

Well it's late, and my MOM is calling me to get off her computer and goto bed.

(..wait a min..."ALRIGHT MOM!..GEEeesh!" ..*get off my back!*)
I can't wait to get my own place someday... Well, I have to go, I have to study for class monday....It's fractions..(I hate 'em).

Cro......I think that most politicians are rather myopic in their responses for a reason.....and that reason we'll never know. It's sad, though we send the servants to Washington to do a job and they fall short. As you said, we need to hold their feet to the "fire" or there will never be change. At that point, Socialism is inevitable. SCARY!!!!!

We as Americans must demand that our politicians be steadfast in their decisions, and not cowtow to every special interest group that concedes power to their party.

THE TIME FOR CHANGE IS NOW!!!

The questions that you ask would be rather scary to answer. I will say this though....if we are not educated, how can we make prudent decisions? People need to be educated on the sanctity of the constitution

Cro....you pose many questions that need to be answered by our politicians....Oh!! that would require them knowing that they are there for the people. Until they realize this, nothing will ever change and we will steadily progress to socialism. Now that's scary!!!

Try Ron Paul: www.ronpaul2008.com

Ever heard of the Constitution Party?

I agree with everything I see you saying here, with one difference - I have found the one politician who is steadfast in his faithfulness to his oath of office. Lobbyists don't even bother knocking on his door, because they already know that he's not going to support some unconstitutional proposition; even his own party has tried to gerrymander him out of a seat, but he's now in his 10th term. Better still, he's running for President!

I'm a veteran of the Army and a die hard libertarian. I am really tired to see the moral fabric of this country being torn to shreds by blow hard elitists who make careers out of going to Washington suppossedly for the people. I have an interest in all things history and politics. I live in Acworth with my wife Simone, who is from Brazil. We've been married 2 years and plan to be married many more.
