After a careful review of the options for the up-coming 2008 election:

I HAVE DECIDED TO BECOME A WRITE-IN CANDIDATE. HERE IS MY PLATFORM:

(1) Press 1 for English is immediately banned. English is the official language of America. Speak it or wait at the border until you can.

(2) We will immediately go into a two-year isolationist posture to straighten out the country's attitude. NO imports, no exports. We will use the 'WalMart' policy: 'If we ain't got it, you don't need it.'

(3) When imports are allowed, there will be a 100% import tax on it.

(4) All retired military personnel and the National Guard will be required to man one of our many observation towers on the southern border. (Six month tour) They will be under strict orders not to fire on SOUTHBOUND aliens.

(5) Social Security will immediately return to its original state. If you didn't put nuttin' in, you ain't getting' nuttin' out. Neither the president nor any other politician will be able to touch it. All Americans will have the choice of opting out of the system and providing for their own retirement.

(6) Welfare - Checks will be handed out on Fridays at the end of the 40 hour work week and the successful completion of urinalysis. Every Church in America will be required to adopt at least two elderly widows and two young children to provide for their welfare.

(7) Professional Athletes --Steroids - The FIRST time you check positive you will be banned for life.

(8) Crime - There are only two ways to handle crime... Restitution or Execution. Thieves will be required to repay their victims plus 20% (not pay fines to the Court). In addition, criminals will pay for their food, clothing, housing, and medical care. No tax money will be used for their upkeep. There will be no more life sentences -- criminals Lawfully convicted (that means by proper evidence) of a Capitol Offense (murder, rape, and kidnapping) will be put to death within 30 days.

(9) One export will be allowed - Wheat -- The world needs to eat. A bushel of wheat will be the exact price of a barrel of oil.

(10) All foreign aid using American taxpayer money will immediately cease, and the saved money will pay off the national debt and ultimately lower government operating costs. When disasters occur around the world, we'll ask the American people if they want to donate to a disaster fund, and each citizen can make the decision whether it's a worthy cause.

(11) The Pledge of Allegiance will be recited every day at school and every day in Congress .

(12) The National Anthem will be played at all appropriate ceremonies, sporting events, outings, etc.

(13) The IRS will be abolished and replaced with a 10% national sales tax on all goods and services. The federal government will receive 1%, the States 5%, and the counties and cities 2% each. All property taxes will be abolished. If God can get by on 10% so can the government.

(14) All corporations will be abolished and replaced with sole ownership or limited partnership businesses. The owner(s) must be available to customers during normal business hours. Owners will be prosecuted for not submitting collected tax money.

(15) All government positions, elective and appointed, will have strict term limits. Public service is a brief civic duty, not a career to enrich the office holder. Salaries will be based of the average income of the people the government worker represents.

(16) Most foreign military bases will be closed and our troops brought home to guard our borders. America will mind its own business and let other countries do the same. America will no longer "nation build", sponsor "CIA coups", or otherwise interfere with other countries. All U.N. personnel will leave America within 30 days, the U.N. building will be reduced to rubble to disable all the spy equipment housed in it.

(17) The debt usury system will be abolished. America will return to an honest money system backed by gold and silver. All loans will be for terms of six years or less, including land and houses.

(18) Politicians will be held personally responsible for all debts they incur. No longer will Americans have their names co-signed to any debt they do not personally make.

(19) All the national security agencies...the FBI, CIA, ATF, TSA, etc... will be under one department and report daily to the President.

(20) Any person who does not want to live by the values expressed in 1 thru 19 will be deported to a country of their choice. We want everyone to be happy.

Sorry if I stepped on anyone's toes, but a vote for me will get you better than what you have and a lot better than what you're otherwise gonna get. For more of my views on what ails America and how to fix it, read : Why Americans Have No Rights listed in my Blog Archive. http://mlf1070.blogspot.com.

Unlike the two "leading" contenders, I am running a debt free internet campaign. I don't need or want your money. Just forward my platform to all your friends. I would appreciate your vote. Thanks, Michael L. Farris, Natural Born Free American, write-in candidate for President of the United States of America.

Liberals and environmentalists have been
brainwashing the public and Congress for 25 years,
intensively and unceasingly, about 'manmade'
global
warming, which has prevented us from using America's
rich natural resources of oil, gas, coal, and
uranium, for the production of energy.

(By the way, who made the Earth's 'Ice Age' go away?
It sure wasn't 'Man' !)

The American people are not dumb, but the steady
drumbeat of environmentalist strategy to thwart the
harvest of energy resources has had its effect,
especially on the career politicians in Congress,
who rely on the financial and electoral support of
this special interest to get reelected forever.

There is little question that the country is
suffering a dire shortage of leadership, a shortage
of people who are willing to confront these enviros,
who don't feel a need to be 'liked' by their peers,
and who are willing to take a 'pro-energy' position
which might cause them to be attacked by fanatical
liberals and 'greens'.

Free market principles AND ample energy supplies is
what enables this country to continue to lead the
world in prosperity, standard of living, technology,
medical progress, low unemployment, etc. Without
cheap, plentiful energy, our advances will shrivel
into a mediocre, even backward, way of life.

I have nothing against wind, solar, etc, but they
will always be puny, almost negligible, compared to
what the future will need.

One of the principal areas of activity stifling our
country's overall vigor is the ever expanding
federal government and its leviathan of regulatory
bureaucracy, (i.e. EPA) of which the restriction of
energy development is a prime example of how our
creeping loss of liberty is a drag on American
progress.

The chief villain in this story is the US Congress,
which creates and empowers the stifling
bureaucracies, and which has long since been
corrupted into two chambers of sinecures, where the
principal occupation of its members is to guarantee
perpetual reelection and lifelong tenure, the
well-being of the country be damned.

So how to end this shortage of leadership? I suggest
one way: create a 100% turnover in the US Congress
in the next few elections. Since Congress is a key
factor in proposing laws, policy, and debates in our
country, and provides its members with the
visibility to reach all the people (thru C-span TV),
shouldn't we strive to make it available to citizen
legislators instead of career political hacks?

I'll bet that 535 freshmen in Congress would be a
great seedbed of REAL leadership!

And how do we do that? Simply never reelect anyone
in Congress!

If one can ignore the incessant propaganda that bombards us from what passes as “news” on TV, movies, and even music, one might ponder why Americans no longer have Rights over themselves, their children, and their property.

In the pre-socialist days prior to 1935, the Common Law based upon justice, reason, and common sense was the Law of the land. Since the Common Law is a prerogative of sovereigns, the servant government had no lawful authority to enact nor prosecute Common Law offenses. Many judges agreed that the Common Law was too harsh for a democracy. And they were right because Americans were promised a Republic form of government wherein the People (not citizens) were the sovereigns. Since property and sovereignty are inseparable, only those who absolutely owned property could rely upon the promises in the organic documents that instituted America’s governments at the Federal, State, and Local levels. In the original instrument, the Declaration of Independence, it was clearly stated that governments were instituted among men to do two things: help secure property rights, and govern by consent.

What are property rights? The absolute right to own ourselves, our labor, the fruits of our labor, and that for which we choose to trade our labor. Private property is defined as land, houses, and chattels (property other than real estate). Real estate is not private property. If two or more persons have a claim it ceases to be private property and devolves to estate. Estate is held with qualified ownership. It’s no surprise to me that State constitutions only list “real and personal property” as subject to taxation and regulation. Private property is sacred, and exempt.

Before the politicians (poly from the Greek, meaning many; and tic, an ugly bloodsucking parasite) sold out America, a sovereign who owned private property was the supreme authority and absolute monarch over his domain. An example of the absolute power to decide and act (sovereignty) was the landlord’s right to defend his property from trespass with deadly force. If capital punishment without benefit of trial isn’t evidence of individual sovereignty, I don’t know what else will suffice.

To retain the status of private property, only ONE individual can own said property, therefore, coverture was essential. Coverture was the transfer of the wife’s property to her husband for the duration of the marriage. This made the man the sole authority over the property insuring that servant government had to respect the family’s property rights in all things. There were very few problems as long as men loved their wives and treated them as equal partners.
Historical revisionists would lead one to believe that men “owned” their wives and children, not unlike slaves, and that it was a bad thing (as if collective ownership by “Big Brother” is superior).

If one will recall, though men had the rights of ownership, they also had the sole duty of support and defense of their family. As the saying goes, “women and children first” into the lifeboat. Men were obligated to lay down their lives, if necessary, in defense of their family. Was it a burden that women and children had to obey the man of the family in exchange for his lifelong obligation to them? I don’t think so. Even the Law recognized that only the man could be held legally liable for failure to support his family. A wife who was forced by circumstances to “work outside the home” was tantamount to giving notice that the man was either unable, or worse, in violation of the Law, unwilling to support his family. At the very least, it was an insult to the manhood of the husband.

All this changed with the institution of national socialism in 1935. Known as the Social Security Act, or Federal Insurance Contribution Act (F.I.C.A.), this treacherous enactment was the final nail in the Grand Old Republic’s coffin. The ground work had been laid in 1913, giving control of America’s money to a privately held loan shark operation known as the Federal Reserve; and in 1916, the creation of the Fed’s collection agency, the Internal Revenue Service. It took the Fed less than 25 years to totally bankrupt America. The wealthiest nation in the history of the world was brought to her knees by the “Great Depression”, and had desperate Americans demanding that the government “do something”, which lead to the destruction of individual property rights. For the truth about the Federal Reserve (which is no more “Federal” than Federal Express), read FOURTH REICH OF THE RICH by Des Griffin and SECRETS OF THE TEMPLE: HOW THE FEDERAL RESERVE RUNS THE COUNTRY by William Greider.

Unknown to the gullible participants, enrollment into “Social Security” (I call it socialist insecurity), had dire effects. First, it changed their status as Free men to paupers eligible for charity from the public treasury. Second, it eliminated their private property Rights to own, and thus have a domicile, in exchange for a residence. Third, it obligated them to pay the claims made upon the bankrupted United States of America (upper and lower case spelling), replaced by a bankruptcy trustee, the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (all capital letters, a clever legal deception), and made the federal debt into their “national debt”. Fourth, it made it legally impossible to object to the worthless federal reserve notes. Fifth, it was prima facie evidence that a national socialist security number made them wards of the government and status criminals without the former protections accorded Free Inhabitants. Sixth, it made men (and women) subject to, and object of, administrative bureaucracy without constitutional restrictions. Seventh, it made them co-signers on all the loans the politicians borrow (present tense) from the Federal Reserve.

When Americans were reduced to bleating paupers, hands out for a share of their “entitlements”, the government could rightly ignore the centuries of Law based upon securing private property rights, and shift to policy based on voluntary consent. Without Common Law rights, the Common Law evaporated from public awareness (with a little help from public schools). In its place the strict rules and regulations of “civil law” have become the standard, Instead of natural and personal liberty, those birthrights of free Americans, we now have civil and political liberty as permitted by our master government. Contrary to popular belief, “Civil Liberty” is not freedom, but license (permission). Who needs permission (license) to own a dog, marry, build a house, travel public roads, carry a gun, and so on? Not a Free Man. Who needs to pay a tax for the privilege to live, work, or hold property? Not a Free Man!

Since 1935, Americans have surrendered their Republic form of government, guaranteed by Article 4, Section 4 of the constitution for the united States of America, and the promise to the Free Inhabitants of the Land from Article IV of the Articles of Confederation, in exchange for the mob rule of democracy. If you think democracy is something fine and good, you have been brainwashed, programmed, and indoctrinated with ANTI-AMERICAN propaganda. If you think it’s good that American lives and property are being used to make the world safe for democracy, your ancestors are spinning in their graves in outrage. Patrick Henry would spit on you. George Washington would turn his head from you. Ben Franklin would kick you in the arse.

All Law is for the protection of life and property. All else is mere policy, and policy requires fully informed consent. And though involuntary servitude was outlawed, there is no restriction on voluntary servitude, howbeit by fraud and deceit. Why do Americans keep re-electing the same politicians year after year? None of them ever honor their oath of office to defend and protect the constitution, and restore the Republic.

In answer to the question why Americans have no rights, national socialism is to blame. However, our continued consent to national socialism is the mechanism that has locked the chains of tyranny upon us. He who consents can’t complain… can’t bite the hand that feeds you… beggars can’t be choosers… you get the idea.

Barstool Economics - The Graduated Income Tax System

The following analysis relates to the U.S. tax system, which is based on barstool economics principles.

But, is the answer blithely to go on, making the productive class pay for other people's beer? Or, is it to expect everyone to pay for his own beer?

And should the role of the bartender (the state) really be to decide how to apportion everyone's wealth... after collecting all available wealth for himself, that is: should the bartender be allowed to take from Peter to pay for himself and Paul?

Doesn't that concept predictably result in class conflict and eventual revolution ?

Wouldn't it be better that Peter and Paul remain friends and the bartender be required to confine his activities to merely tending bar and prohibited from selling any more beer than his independent, un-coerced customers (the 'free market') can pay for ?

"Oh, heavens, no!", you say. (Since passage of the graduated income tax, we've been taught that such an approach would be "communism"...)

Oh yes... left out of the good professor's 'barstool' analysis is where/how the ten men got the money in their pockets, in the first place...

That would be the Federal Reserve Bank and 'our' usury-based monetary system... the here-unconsidered "rest of the story"...

Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer  and the bill for all ten comes to $100.

If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:

The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.

 The fifth would pay $1.

The sixth would pay $3.

The seventh would pay $7.

The eighth would pay $12.

The ninth would pay $18.

The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.

So, that's what they decided to do.

The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve.

'Since you are all such good customers', he said, 'I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20'.

Drinks for the ten now cost just $80.

The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes, so the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free.

But what about the other six men - the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his 'fair share?'

They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33.

But if they subtracted that from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.
And so:
The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings).

The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings).

The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28%savings).

The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings). The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings). The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).
Each of the six was better off than before.
And the first four continued to drink for free.
But once outside the bar, the men began to compare their savings.

'I only got a dollar out of the $20,'declared the sixth man.
He pointed to the tenth man,' but he got $10!'
'Yeah, that's right,' exclaimed the fifth man.
'I only saved a dollar, too. It's unfair that he got ten times more than I!'
'That's true!!' shouted the seventh man. 'Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!'
'Wait a minute,' yelled the first four men in unison.
'We didn't get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!'

The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.
The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had their beers without him.
But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn't have enough money among all of them for even half the bill !

And that, boys and girls, journalists and college professors, is how our tax system works.
The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction.

Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore.

In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.

For those who understand, no explanation is needed. For those who do not understand, no explanation is possible...

Who Looks Foolish, Alamo Heroes or Us?
by Chuck Baldwin
March 4, 2008

During this week back in 1836, the Alamo fell. For more than 13 days, 186 brave and determined patriots withstood Santa Anna's seasoned army of over 4,000 troops. To a man, the defenders of that mission fort knew they would never leave those ramparts alive. They had several opportunities to leave and live. Yet, they chose to fight and die. How foolish they must look to this generation of spoiled Americans.

It is difficult to recall that stouthearted men such as Davy Crockett (a nationally known frontiersman and former Congressman), Will Travis (only 23 years old with a little baby at home), and Jim Bowie (a wealthy landowner with properties on both sides of the Rio Grande) really existed. These were real men with real dreams and real desires. Real blood flowed through their veins. They loved their families and enjoyed life as much as any of us. There was something different about them, however. They possessed a commitment to liberty that transcended personal safety and comfort.

Liberty is an easy word to say, but it is a hard word to live up to. Freedom has little to do with financial gain or personal pleasure. Accompanying Freedom is her constant and unattractive companion, Responsibility. Neither is she an only child. Patriotism and Morality are her sisters. They are inseparable; destroy one and all will die.

Early in the siege, Travis wrote these words to the people of Texas: "Fellow Citizens & Compatriots: I am besieged by a thousand or more of the Mexicans under Santa Anna. . . . The enemy has demanded a surrender at discretion, otherwise the garrison are to be put to the sword . . . I have answered the demand with a cannon shot & our flag still waves proudly from the walls. I shall never surrender or retreat. . . . VICTORY OR DEATH! P.S. The Lord is on our side. . . ."

As you read those words, remember that Travis and the others did not have the A.C.L.U., P.E.T.A., People for the un-American Way, and the National Education Association telling them how intolerant and narrow-minded their notions of honor and patriotism were. A hostile media did not constantly castigate them as a bunch of wild-eyed extremists. As school children, they were not taught that their forefathers were nothing more than racist jerks.

The brave men at the Alamo labored under the belief that America (and Texas) really was "the land of the free and the home of the brave." They believed God was on their side and that the freedom of future generations depended on their courage and resolve. They further believed their posterity would remember their sacrifice as an act of love and devotion. It all looks pale now.

By today's standards, the gallant men of the Alamo appear rather foolish. After all, they had no chance of winning--none. However, the call for pragmatism and practicality was never sounded. Instead, they answered the clarion call, "Victory or death!"

Please try to remember the heroes of the Alamo as you watch our gutless political and religious leaders surrender to compromise and political correctness. Try to recall the time in this country when ordinary men and women had the courage of their convictions and were willing to sacrifice their lives for freedom and independence.

One thing is certain: those courageous champions at the Alamo did not die for a political party or for some "lesser of two evils" mantra. They fought and died for a principle, and that principle was liberty and independence. So did the men at Lexington and Concord. That is our heritage.

Today, however, our national leaders are in the process of turning America over to the very forces that the Alamo defenders gave their lives resisting. On second thought, do they look foolish, or do we?
