OK.. I think that inviting Ahmadinejah to Columbia was a mistake in the first place.

As I watched the Q&A, the introduction was very surprising. I really did think that Ahmadinejah would get a "warm" introduction from the staff from Columbia. Not necessarily the students. But the staff that invited him. And yet, there were many hits below the belt that I thought would never come up. I guess it was because that the questions that were picked did not cover what he wanted to be said. But there was a lot of hostility in his introduction. Why did they invite him, if they were just going to insult him from the get-go to begin with? I am not trying to come to his defense by any means, it just seems that neutral should be neutral.

The one question I was waiting for them to ask was "Where is Osama Bin Laden?" But it never came up. I was very disappointed in that.

I was very annoyed yet entertained by his idea that the Holocaust was 1 sided and it needed to be researched more. Well, my question who's side is one sided. The Jewish, the American's, the Polish, the German's. I have to say, my grandmother grew up in WWII Germany and she feared for her life everyday. She cannot, and will not watch anything having to do with the war. Movie, documentary, nothing.  She does not want to relive that horror again. And she was not even in a concentration camp!

Yet, to finalize as humane as he wanted to come across, he is just wolf in sheep's clothing. Saying what we want to hear, and denying what is the truth.

I am sure he had a different introduction, but after getting chided about inviting him, he had to save face and came up with the one we all heard. After all....this is the same school that would not allow the minute men to speak and staunchly disallowed anything related to US military ROTC or recruiting on their grounds.

Welcome to America!

maymae
hello.
i was discompbobulated when i read how they received him.
i do not think it served any good purpose to be rude.
christ was not even rude when they were ganging up on him.
if i invite one to my house i am very ashamed to treat them bad.
columbia did this country a disservice.
it makes us look like jerks.
i bet if we had someone go there they would not be as rude.
but i do not trust mr. jammerhead one bit.
he is a very bad adversary.
because he prays for a quick time of chaos so his spiritual person can come down and set up in iraq and rule all the world.
a nation's politics and the way they act makes me think of how children act to each other.
in ways we never grow up.
but we act that way because it is really like a game on the computer.
but lives are involved.
many kings and presidents and senators and representatives from all ages and all nations will have a special conference some day set aside by God.
i think that meeting will take a long time.
thank you.

I have to agree with skeeter and brother. If you invite someone into your home you should treat them as you would like to be treated.
Everyone knows how they feel about everyone else. Our Bombs will due alot more hurtful things than spouting out rude remarks.

It is always BEST to take the HIGH GROUND that means in BATTLE and in CIVILITY.

Now the Iranian President can go back to his country and say " SEE!, They treated me with DISRESPECT just like I TOLD YOU THEY WOULD! They think we are nothing but ANIMALS! And can't wait to KILL US!"

Nice picture huh? Well, its over now and what's done is done. There is no changing the past. But the future has not arrived yet and we still can control the future.

Yeah, the Iranian President is a piece of crap and should have had a black bag put over his head and had his head sawed off like so many other victims of the terrorists groups that he has supported. But WE INVITED HIM. THE STATE DEPT. ALLOWED HIS TRAVEL INTO THIS COUNTRY.

I don't know maybe I'm wrong on the whole thing. (seriously) I'm tired and just don't have that fervor that usually drives my posts.
(I've GOT to lay off that BABY SEAL JUICE!)

Thanks for letting me ramble.

SheeterandBBrother: I agree with you, the people of Iran probably would not be rude to Americans if we came over to their country. They would kill us.

If I invite someone over to my house, I will be nice to them even if I hate them with all of my being. But I will not be nice to someone who wants me and all of the other Americans dead.

Ahmadinejah did not come to this country to make peace, his purpose of coming to the United States was so that he could laugh in our faces. Which he did. When asked by Steve Pelli on 60 Minutes whether Iran had nuclear weapons, Ahmadinejah replied with, "I do not understand what you are saying." But throughout the whole interview, he had a smirk on his face.

I believe the man is lucky he was not shot and killed while over here. Had he been killed, we would have another war on our hands.
