Hello Again.

Often, my good friends will call  to talk about something they saw on the news.

Today, they wanted to know about Florence Pauley.

In case you don't know, Florence Pauley spent today in jail and may be there for a long, long time.

What's her alleged crime?  Leaving her five -year- old daughter Tiffany unattended.

Tiffany had Downs Syndrome.

I write past tense , because Tiffany is dead.

The other day she wandered into a neighbor's yard and encountered a chained dog.

Instinct still set in.  Tiffany probably didn't  have a chance.

Or did she?  Maybe, if her mother, from what police say, was not on a Meth High.

Something they believe she had become accustomed to over the years.

Sure , she called 9-1-1 for help...but barely.  She could barely utter her own name.

Often, the public outrage involves the dog.  How many times have we run those stories?

But  this time, we look at the video of Florence Pauley and wonder both how? and why?

Yes, this business has taught us there is "absolutely" two sides to every story.

But,  my friends ask, "What could possibly justify this one?"

Ask Florence.  You think?

Lisa

This story is so sad,,for the little borrowed angel. I say borrowed angel, because sometimes God only loans us one of his angels for a little while. And also for the animal. But that's it, not for the drugged up adult that was supposed to be caring for the child. I won't call her mother because she doesn't deserve that title. And not really for the father, as he had to have known what his wife was doing. I feel he, as a parent shares some of the blame too. I have no compassion for adults that allow our children to be harmed, while they are off doing their "own thing". She lost the right to think of herself only when she decided to have children. My ideas of the whole thing are, BOTH parents should be punished.

On troll comment, you are very right about being borrowed angel.
These parents were given an opportunity to clean up their act with a special needs child. And that never crossed their mind. The only thing that came to mind is when were they going to be able to get their next fix.
The only thing that they deserve is to be in jail.
As far as the dog is concerned. There is light blame on the dog sinced he was chained. But if there were eyes on the child this would have never happened.
The only good thing to come out of all this is that the child is in a better place.where she can get real love and care
