He is "Still Here" and looking good! 

This was my first "Buffett" concert, and I have to say it was an amazing experience!  The people are definately a unique bunch, and I have to say after about 10 minutes of walking the parking lot meeting some of them Drew and I fit right in!  People came from all over to see Jimmy and the place was packed!

We were worried about the weather, and when we got there the sun came out and everyone took their rain gear off and put their flip flops on!!

The stage was decorated in a tropical theme, and the music was crazy!  I could sit and listen to that for hours! Give me a cold Margarita or a Landshark beer, sit me on a beach and I'm done!  Oh and crank up the "cheese burger in paradise!!"  OMG the crowd went wild when he played that song!! LOL

Well, I left my camera at home because of the possible rain, but I had my phone (of course!) so I put a little slide show up to give you an idea of the crazy madness!

So if there are any "Buffett Fans" out there, tell me your experience, or show me some fun buffett graphics!!

Oh and Thanks Rob & Deb for hooking us up with the tickets, have fun in Vegas!!

He had his shoes off the whole show!! Then gave this flip flops to someone in the front row! He must always play barefoot! I lovvvve itttt!

Saw Jimmy Buffett...a long time ago-was at the Muny, but remember it well because we went to a private "Cheeseburger and Margarita" party held for him under the pavilion to the left of the stage before the concert. Peter Mayer from St. Louis is in his touring Coral Reefer Band and should have been there. Was the band introduced?

Yes Cricky the band was introduced. There were three guys from this area! What does he play?

It was amazing! The people were freaking nuts! I had one lady fall on me cause she was dancing with her eyes closed!!! This is the kind of concert where you just want to walk the crowd and video tape everyone! Then have an after party and laugh your butt off!

Hey Danny it would have been a great blog event! Lots of fun!!

i drove to key west from miami and i was disapoined when i got to key west when i saw all of the strip malls and a large population there and i was expecting a laid back place.

Jana i went last nite too, it was my 7th concert!Jimmy always plays barefoot, he is just a great guy. I have a 2 yr old parrot, named him Buffett, and wrote Jimmy and sent him a picture of the little guy, and he sent me an 8x10 signed photo that says fins up! Nan and Buffett, i was thrilled. one thing i did notice is that the piano player that has been with him a very long time is all grey! I am a true Parrothead, as many people are and proud of it! glad you could go Jana and exerience it!

looks like a lot of fun! glad it was decent weather for ya :) our hotel in vegas is next to jimmy buffetts margaritaville and they always rock his music! i loved hearing it everytime we walked outside!

miamiman, can understand the changes in Key West. Rode down in '81 from Sarasota (where my little house WAS in the middle of nothing but citrus groves). There were no strip malls or anything like that and now so much of Florida is not much more than condos, million $ homes and "progress".

Jana, Peter Mayer plays guitar, sings and has been with JB for 20+ years as well as his own band (PM, etc.) The other local guys not sure about. (The line-up generally changes a lot.)

The Buffett concert was great...we have seen him now 7 times over the years...yes always plays barefoot...he was in excellent voice...very relaxed and the coral reefers great as always...jake was amazing. Hope Jimmy comes back next year...maybe he will play the stadium.

If I thought there was a chance getting tickets for the Indy show I would go in a heartbeat! Heck the party in the parking lot was a great time too! Our Peace Train just might take a drive!! Anyone wanna go? LOL

Dave that would be amazing if he played at the stadium! I saw skyfox hovering several times!
Oh and the weather turned out to be great!

I was living in this beach house in Malibu surounded by all sorts of palm and lots of sand with the waves crashing on the beach in the backround with a nice breaze blowing. My friends that lived there as well threw 1-2 parties a week with "Jimmy Buffett" playing all day. Jimmy and the ocean in the backround, cold one in hand, the smell if cheese burgers grilling, playing sand volleyball hanging with 12+ friends. Did that for years. It was my only exposure to "Jimmy Buffett" and I have to say some great memories. I have never seen him live but bet is was one heck of a good time! Good vibes in the company of "Buffett" fans!

I have some friends in other bands that play in there surf shorts, no shirts and barefoot. I love it! The flipflop, barefoot, shorts and paradise theme. Even after all these years he still cranks them out. Did see him play live on tv recently and he sounded great there. I would like to do a road trip to Florida for a "Buffett" show! At $4 a gallon I am putting that Route 66 trip on standby!

This is the third time Ive seen Jimmy this year! Jimmy rocks, Ive lost count of how many concerts Ive seen him at, as Im a second generation parrothead, and will follow Jimmy to the "Far Side of the World" as one of my concerts was on the "Far Side of the World" this year, as I got to see "See him, somewhere other than here"

Hey Jana,
Perhaps this is a plug there is a local band here that I really like, that covers a lot of Jimmy Buffett tunes. They are called Phins.

Another guy I really like is Terry Beck.

But they are local and they both do Buffett tunes wonderfully.

My name is Jana, and I start my day with Fox 2 every morning! I have a wonderful husband who has been my best friend since I was 13years old, and I have three awesome children!
