What in th world is going on in the Atlanta Court House!! When are we going to tell those lawyers of Bryan Nichols, wake up and smell the coffee!  Do they really believe that the Judge that was murdered in his own court room, didn't have friends that were Judges after decades of practicing law and being a elected Judge. Please get real ,you silly lawyers of Bryan Nichols, if you base your first part of defense on finding a judge that was not friends or even knew the murdered Judge, you got to be kidding.

I'm a native Atlantaian, and my father practiced many years 45 years to be  excact and I even know numerous Judges and I don't even practice law, Atlanta might be big, but still is a small town as far as locals knowing locals from Dekalb, Gwinnett, and so on.

Stop scaling the mountain on the flat and wrong side, and get on with the trial, for we are all starting to see you all are poor excuses of lawyers , with little defense and not anytime left to play your ace card. Oh yeah, you are playing your Ace card now, it is all down hill from here on out. You people have shown yourself unworthy of your law degrees.

Sincerely, Felt

2 words, delaying tactics. The lawyers for Bryan Nichols, they know it's their only recourse. To delay by throwing up these motions means that the longer the trial is put off the better their chances are in contesting witness testimonies because memories aren't as fresh, and details are dimmed, also evidence erodes. Since D.A. Howard refuses to reduce the death penalty, or even make an offer for life imprisonment, they're going to try every trick in the book. The "Shylocks Evil Tricks & Scemes", book. I'm sure your Dad (says this with respect) has used one a time or too. I thought the Feds would have wanted Nichols first since a Federal officer was killed in a commision of a crime. But you bet after Fulton county is through with him he'll face a federal murder charge, and they won't put up with this tomfoolery... :(!)..trippy P.S. sorry it took so long to comment but I just found your blog.

Thanks, for your comment. It's all to sad, to me, the game of law has become lawless and their practice of defense is ignorant on their part and wasteful of the state's money, no where have I ever seen that money spent on a simple single person after a mass murder was commited, and witnessed by so many don't worry people never forget any carnage like that ever.

Gabriel, don't blame the lawyers it's the system that's broken. And Congress & the Senate refuses to fix it. Our judicial system needs a complete overhaul from old laws that are still on the books to loopholes. I could give you fifty ways to fix the system, but there's an argument in waiting for everyone of them. We have to do more than throw monies at it.
There's more that needs to be done here, But it starts with us the citizens on the grass root level. Judicial reform should be in the forefront, but with most of your politicians being ex lawyers and judges not much will get done. Solutions are many, results are sadly to few. It's a hunt & peck system, only when we find a loophole or law that's wrongful do we amend it or do way with it, instead of focusing on the system as a whole...:(!)
Trippy..

Trippy, there is alot of truth in your statements, Yet the purpose of practiting law is either to defend or prosecute, in the process of doing this many ethics, and procedure is thrown out the window, just to WIN THE CASE! In law it is all about winning at all cost no matter who you mow over in the process, as being called a natural by many including my father which practiced here in Atlanta for many years 45 to be exact, I decided along time ago not to practice for numerous reasons, we are both touching on some of these reasons. Devils Advocate a great movie to watch and explains, my feelings well, also Justice for all, with Al Pacino a classic, would have been my reaction as well, this movie help me make alot of decisions in the 70"s, on my career as a criminal lawyer, being in gov. and practicing law are hand in hand, that is what it is all about. Reform, the word would be cursade.
