This is an outrage! I Was born in Dekalb county and 2 members of my family policed there. This happened as a result of Dekalb allowing unfettered growth of apartments and nonenforcement of county codes!

Tax paying citizens will not stay where they support the LAZY among us! (look of the numbers of new cities! and MEMORIAL DRIVE) The DeKalb County Comission failed to realize that apartments draw people with no ties to teh area... they move in do their damage and move on!

Yes THe officers should have been at home with family, but I chose to move away from Dekalb County and I resent my federal funds going to supplement DeKalb Public Safety! How about grants for Gwinnett Public Safety, or Walton County! Maybe Dekalb County should look at privitazing trash collection, Roads and Bridges, any money that comes fro County coffers that goes to "artist", Transfer jail operations to anyone that will manage a corrections system in the model of Joe Arpiao!  Transfer that money to the Police Department.   

Now the perpetrators of the MURDER of these 2 officers... Depending on the evidence they should be tried and put to death with in 12 mos! THis will remind the thug culture that DeKalb County used to be a place that had a very low threshold for ilegal conduct!
