Mexico Tycoon, Carlos Slim, now Holds World's Fattest Wallet! Fox News reports that the Mexicana business man has over taken Bill Gates as the richest man on earth. But get this folks, although Slim is worth an estimated $67.8 billion dollars , Mexico has a huge rich-poor divide, with a tiny elite holding most of the country's wealth and around half the population living on less than $5 a day!  If this isn’t a disgrace, I don’t know what is. Yet, Our U.S. government is being held hostage by 20 million illegals and their supporters, while ignoring the fact that this problem is the manifestation of the Mexican government and its very small elite!  They both have smartly made our American government take full responsibility for the future of their poor.  Why is this disconcerting? Our government felled for the trick and now wants the American people to accept the dupe. Ridiculous? You make the call!

Unfortunately there is no check and balance system in many countries that is why they all come to us for help. We have the freedom to say that Fidel Castro is a jerk or that Mexico's government should be replaced or that African tribes should not massacre each other. There is only so much the people can do, and still in this world the more money you have the more powerful you will be. Most wealthy people are not exactly concerned about too many others...no offense but most donate only because it saves them on taxes each year not really because they care.

Why do you think that Mexico wants the illegals coming over? So they can send home millions of dollars in American money to make the rich get richer. Of course WE take care of their poor, their worthless, and their criminals so they don't have to.

I can't remember if it is the first or second largest income for Mexico as a country, but it is the money sent to them by illegals up here. What did this great Mexican do to make his billions. At least Bill Gates created a computer system that dummies like me can use and he does give a lot to schools and I don't think his wife would let him do it for publicity or tax write offs. Most of the wealthy do not pay much in taxes, mainly because there are so many loop holes with trust funds and the like that they don't really need deductions.

I saw this story and it may not be all it is cracked up to be , the “source” is a Mexican paper so it could be a “bit” inflated......but even if they exaggerated we can see that illegals “Calling Home*” are spending a lot of American dollars!
* the fact that they are here and still call Mexico “Home” is what makes them our enemy !

Exactly, caser. I don’t mind if the man makes billions. Good for him! But, I am tired of Mexicans and their supporter holding our government hostage by playing the” race card”, when we know, the Mexican government and its wealthy citizens have done nothing about this problem and instead passed their poor masses on to the American people. It’s unfair and it's ludicrous! I disagree with immigration lawyers and individuals like Geraldo Rivera, who are playing the “race card” on this issue. You are right about Bill. He has done a lot of good. He is the original perpetrator who made the average American technical digital savvy. In Mexico, most of their citizens are simple farm workers. They are currently sneaking off those farms to bum rush our borders causing an overload on our government and its American citizens. Slim and his billions could care less!

At one time the legal migrant workers were not a problem. Note I said LEGAL. They came up here, registered, did the work in the feilds and went back to Mexico. Most did not expect anything. With the tsunamis of illegals hitting our borders and demanding everything and giving nothing they are causing problems with the legals we are having problems. Us citizens are being denied medical care, education, housing and jobs. The US sends millions (if not billions) to Mexico in aid and it is what makes the wealthy richer. I am assuming that is how the Mexican got so rich

Nearly 10 years ago ,I used to work for a, now famous defunct, Telecom company. We would monitor all calling card traffic . Mexico was one of the big dogs. China was #1. Although Mexico was # 2 in revenue lost for that company, more people as a whole were calling mexico than china.(China rates were extremely higher) A good chunk of calls from Mexico was also done fraudulently. We knew then, this was huge! Very huge! It also cost this American company huge losts. Today,we see the great payoff ,but Americans did not gain in any of those rewards. We got the people but the wealth went to Mexico!
