Concealed Carry Permits

I watched some woman (obviously a liberal, gun control fanatic) on the news stating that in Georgia, all you have to do is pay $15 and pass a finger print check.  I haven't seen anyone correct this lady.  I have a permit and it cost me $50 and I had to go through a local, State and FBI background check. 

Why don't the folks in the news challenge  these idiots?

I have lived all my life in Georgia and served in the Army 1968-1969. I worked for Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent Technology for 35 1/2 years. I retired in 2001. I have been married for over 40 years (to the same woman) and have 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren.
