Falcons' Monday Night Game

While channel surfing last night, I decided I'd watch the Falcons' game, but after 10 minutes of listening to the announcers' incessent yapping about Michael Vick, I had to turn the channel.  All they could seem to do was compare Joey Harrington to Michael Vick - instead of talking about what was happening at that moment in the game, all I heard was, "Vick did this," and "Vick did that."  C'mon, guys, Michael Vick is no longer an active member of the Falcons', or the NFL for that matter.  Focus on what the Falcons are doing NOW - put the black mark on the team caused by Vick's actions in the background.  Michael Vick was just one player on the Falcons' team - they can still play without him.

It would've been a great game had it not been for that. They almost ruined the game. I can't imagine how the players will feel re-watching the game.

I know, I thought about that too. I felt bad for them, almost like the announcers were minimizing their talent as a team because Michael Vick was no longer their "leader". The Falcons have had a few blows so far this season - I really want them to be able to bounce back from both Vick's incident and the pre-season injuries to key players. Go Falcons!

I'll remember that next time.......I used to do that all the time when I lived in Chicago and watched the Bulls or the Bears - the radio announcers were just so much better.

I hear that. I do not like a lot of the national announcers. Especially Madden.

Great idea, I will keep that in mind. I remember listening to Carey announce the Brave's games as a child. I didn't really care about the game, but I was lulled to sleep by his voice.

And it's amazing how much his son, Skip, sounds exactly like him. But NO ONE will ever be able to do the 7th Inning Stretch like Harry Carey! Classic!

The Falcons showed Vick what they could do without him. He lied to them, embarrassed them in the public's eye. They still won the game.

PLEASE LEAVE THE MICHAEL VICK ISSUE ALONE!!! FOOTBALL IS ABOUT TO START, SO LET'S NOT START THIS YEAR'S FOOTBALL SEASON OFF WITHOUT THIS ISSUE!!!
