It's been rough going since the loss of Romo, but the season isn't over yet. This week the COWBOYS have the bye week, and then we should see the return of Tony. Hopefully, this will give the needed spark to get this team rolling, and hopefully, the offensive line will step it up to protect him.
If we've learned one thing with Romo's injury, it's that we need him. I hope we never have to see Johnson or Bollinger ever again.

Brad Johnson seems uncomfortable in leading this team. He is 6 of 18 and 1 interception (could have easily been 3). Offensive line still stinkin' it up. And defense is suckin'!
I'm starting to believe my team is either overrated or have a lack of heart. C'mon guys, show me something before my head explodes.

Well, it's halftime and I have a few observations:
1) Special teams- God gave you two arms; wrap them around someone and make a tackle.
2) Offensive line- try to block someone.
3) Romo- that brown oblong thing is a football; don't put it on the ground.
4) Garrett- when nothing is open up in the middle, you can call a play to try to run it outside.
5) Bobby Carpenter- you're a waste of a number 1 pick. Why is it when we finally see you, you make an illegal block in the back? You don't deserve to wear Randy White's # 54!!! Please go to the Dolphins and get off my team.
6) Defense- good job!
7) Crayton- the jury is still out on you, but thank you for making a crucial catch.
8) Cardinals and refs- thank you for letting us stay in this game.
9) Folk, don't be afraid to hit someone (you have pads on) and don't hit the uprights; it's supposed to go between them.
Cowboys, I still love you guys, but pull your heads out and do something in the second half. Now excuse me while I go throw up!

It's refreshing when a politician comes out and tells the truth. Last night, McCain did just that when he said "It's easy for me to go to Washington and, frankly, be somewhat divorced from the day-to-day challenges people have."

I see a pattern with talk radio and conservative bloggers. It seems
that every time the right wing talk radio shepherds come up with a new
phrase for Obama, the flock of sheep suddenly turn into a bunch of
parrots. At first Obama was described as barack "HUSSEIN" obama, then
an elitist, then arrogant and now he is the messiah. I can hardly wait
to see what's next.
If you feel it is necessary to call names and use catch phrases, please show your wit and cunningness by being original.

If the Packers don't want Favre, we'll take him here in Dallas. But of course, he'd have to be Romo's backup. This would finally give Favre a chance to win in Texas Stadium. LOL
Seriously though, the Packers should welcome Brett with open arms. I would understand a change at the quarterback position if his abilities were in decline, but he still remains one of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL. And the last time I looked, great quarterbacks don't grow on trees.

After a 13-3 no playoff win season, there is some speculation about the future of Wade Phillips as the Cowboys' head coach. Mike Florio recently made a list of the top ten NFL coaches that could possibly lose their jobs after this upcoming season. Normally, being #1 is a good thing, but not this time. Florio's column has Phillips on top of the list.
With the big contract to Jason Garrett, and having both of the other Garrett boys, John and Judd, employed by the Cowboys, it appears the writing is on the wall. With all of the pro-bowlers on this team, Jerry Jones expects to have some playoff success this year. If that success doesn't come, a head could roll. That being the head of Wade Phillips.

I understand that people have pride in where they or their families
came from. But for most, this pride is secondary to the pride they feel
for being an American.I don't understand the "in your face" tactics by Mexicans in this country. Many of them try to provoke fights and arguments. What good does angering those on the other side of your issues really accomplish?
Here is a video of one vet that had enough of those tactics. Take note of the Mexicans that were offended. I guess they didn't love "their" flag enough to stop him from throwing it on the ground.

The senate passed Bush's proposed Merida Initiative June 26. For those
that are unfamiliar with the M.I., it is an anti-drug assistance deal
with Mexico. In short, we give them money and their corrupt government
officials, military, and cops will stop the drug trade. Yeah right, I
see that happening. The U.S. will give Mexico $400 million and other
Central American nations will receive $65 million. The story can be
read
here.
And by the way, we will give them this money with no stipulations.
Why would anyone think this is a good idea? I think we've been scammed!
