I as a Gay person see discrimination everywhere.
I have been teased for my sexual orientation but I have overcome it.

I as a gay teen feel than we should be open to accept people for who they are.

Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, or Trans genders.

They deserve the right to live happily as the constitution says.
Who are we to judge other people.

"Love is Love"
We are human beings, we make mistakes.
But we can stop that, right now.

So tell me, whats your view on GLBT people.

Should we have rights as any other person in the United States of America?
or is America blind.

Look at California, they allow gays to be married.
Why can't the whole U.S. pass a bill letting gays get married, and live a happy life.

And for your information, gay parents make better parents than heterosexuals.
by more than 23%.

we've come a long way. as a teen you don't realize what it was like when i was a teen. (ahem, a few years ago). there is much less discrimination and more acceptance today than ever before and that trend is likely to continue to the point where people will be indifferent, which in this case, is a good thing martha stewart. LOL gay parents are more scrutinized, but there are parents of all sexual orientations and races that are good and some that are bad. it's not nice to generalize.

You may not like what I'm about to say kid, but I don't believe in lying to anyone particularly an honest man. I think you shouldn't be denied the rights of: employment, education and basic human dignity. I do not think that anyone should pass laws prohibiting you from the free practice of what makes you happy; however, my religious beliefs won't allow me to let two of the same sex being together a marriage.
This may sound hypocritcal of me (thus the part that pisses you off) but I can support civil unions but to me marriage is a religious thing. I agree with Randy a good parent is a good parent.

The whole gay marriage issue is ridiculous; government should have no role whatsoever in an institution which has always been religious in nature.

Bayou\
Marriage is known to be a close union between two consenting adults and sworn as a bond but does not have religious relevance if performed by a J.P. or Ship's Captain or other means.
It's only seen in the eye of a God if performed in or by a religious institution.
Wordings are many times interpolated and over time auto-accepted by the media as with the word Semite which the Arabs have more historical claim than the Jews but today people do not consider Arabs as of the Semite race.

Wyatt...you are still young (treasure your youth) and have a lot to learn - we all do! However; IF a person truly believes they are sexually 'different' from the norm (meaning average) - i.e. being gay, bi or trans - that is THEIR business. I don't want to know so keep it to yourself. There is truly something to be said about keeping 'things' behind closed doors! A person's sexual orientation should be kept private, not advertised for public knowledge and that means you should not 'advertise' yours!

I'm with Grandma. If you want to be a sissy boy be one in private and on your own time. I don't want to know unless you're in food service, or any job that puts you in close proximity to little boys and young men. Just don't think you have a right to be accepted and embraced, you don't just like I don't have the right not to be offended every time I see you go mincing down the street with all the female affectations homosexuals love to display. Oh, and that California marriage thing isn't going to last out the year regardless of what Arnold the Abomination and the California Supremes say.

First off, I am against any discrimination, be it sexual, ethnic, religious.
Second, I firmly believe that ones sexuality is inborn. Why? Because neither I nor one person I have asked, could tell me when they sat down and decided which gender to favor. You either like boys or you like girls. As long as you are going with that and not going, "Oh, that looks like fun, I think I'll try THAT", then I can't see how you're sinning. But that's for God to decide.
Third, I don't like to see people macking down on each other, no matter WHO it is. Like Granny says, romance is a private thing, and should be kept behind closed doors.
Fourth, I can support civil unions..but NOT marriages. I wish I could, but I just CANNOT. It goes against every single thing I've been raised and taught.
Fifth..every girl should have a gay man as a friend. They are the MOST FUN!! They are the only time a girl can go out and get snockered without having to worry about a male friend taking advantage, and they ALSO know more about fashion, makeup and hair than any woman I have ever met in my life!!

I don't understand how you can say that gay parents are better parents than straights, though. Please elaborate.

There ya go, reason 4,372 why women shouldn't be allowed to vote or teach school.
