How is it that polygamy is illegal in the USA, but in the name of "religion" those folks are allowed to do what they do? Why haven't some if not all of those men at the compound not been arrested?
I'd hate to know that someone (that can't be found) could call the local law enforcement and make allegations about me and then I'd be hauled off to jail. The prosecution has a flimsy charge to make it stick. I'm ashamed of the efforts in Texas of lawmakers.
Those women that spoke on TV were obviously drugged --- they talked real slow and with slurred speech and kept looking over to their left for coaching from the men and husbands that were NOT on cam.

How admirable of Mike Evans to resign due to his romantic interests. BALONEY!! If the D.O.T. Board does what they should do, they will vote Gina Abraham out of her job too. I do not believe for one minute their little romance began about a month ago. I think it was in progress when Mike Evans fought hell and high water to get her that job months ago.
Her professional ethics, conduct and credibility are out of the window now. She SHOULD do the right thing and resign. But she thinks she's done nothing wrong. And her salary of $175,000 per year is outrageous! What the world were they thinking when they agreed to pay her that!
She needs to be put on a rail or train and shipped out of her cozy little job. Ask any D.O.T. employee what they think of her, and they would be glad to see her gone. She does have some good ideas about the department, but her implementation scheme is way out of line. It's not so much WHAT she does, it's HOW she does it. She's made it publicly known that she doesn't trust the high up staff in place at D.O.T., and so she brought her buddies with her from previous jobs. They didn't have to interview nor compete for the jobs, she just handed them out like they were candy. And yet those who work for D.O.T. have to struggle to qualify for jobs and compete for them. Those employees are under tighter scrutiny now than ever. Gina was wrong to bring those people on board. But the D.O.T. board allowed it, gave her a slight hand slap, and said okay this time......... Lame! Just plain lame!
D.O.T. Board --- get rid of Gina Abraham. Don't live to regret it! Do it now. Do it for ALL the people who work at D.O.T. and many of them have been there for years... and now Gina wants to hire college grads to do the jobs that trained, experienced people have been doing for years. Employees with years and years of DOT experience will now get beat out of jobs they deserve because she wants to bring in college grads.
Gina Abraham needs to be put out of her job!! She's as deep in the mud as Mike Evans was in the mire! Get rid of both of them! Let them pursue their little romance... And when it comes to that $1 billion short fall in the budget---someone better be looking into where it went!!!
And what puzzles me most: WHY did Mike Evans come forward and resign? Who found out about their little romance? Who pressured him to take the steps he took? Is there a former girlfriend of his that threatened to tell-all if he didn't step down? Or was someone already after him and spilled the beans on him? Frightened him into resigning.
There's more to this story than we've been told. Outrageous is what it is. Just outrageous!
Gas prices continue to rise! And yet, it seems our country is doing little about it. Doesn't our government understand that the longer we maintain a presence in the middle east, the price of gas will continue to rise. It is the intent of the Arab nations in the oil business to break the economy of America. Eventually our pockets will be emptied and we will seek help from other nations, and oil nations will rush to our rescue to bail us out of bankruptcy. I believe it will happen soon. Face it! When you really wanna pull down a nation, destroy their economy and put them in a hurt, and they can then be conqured by any nation.
