WONDERFUL-WORLD

Would we have known anything at all about the two Pasadena children if their mother hadn't called the police to report them missing?  Think about it.  The family were Katrina transplants.  If the monster and the mother had not said a word, and simply moved away, nobody would have thought anything of it and we probably would never have known the kids were missing, let alone murdered by their father.  Who knows how long their bodies would have gone undiscovered, and then unidentified.

It's very disturbing to realize that this guy very well may have gotten away with murder, if not for the mother's call to police.  It's even more disturbing to wonder what the other Katrina criminals/criminal minds are up to.

Do you think he could have gotten away with it had the mother not called police to report the kids missing?

I think we would have known. His mom, whom I saw on the news at some point, would have asked where the kids were.

But, good point. I wonder if that's why he fought with the mother on Monday night. He was initially arrested for abusing her.

WW, had they not been reported missing, I think we could have easily gone a while thinking they were fine. Remember Baby Grace, Riley Ann Sawyers. For months the grandmother thought her precious baby was alive in Texas. I agree with Robin...the grandma in this case seems pretty sharp and may have figured it out pretty quickly. Still each day that passed would have given this sick, "cold blooded" fool more time to concoct an alibi.

No, I agree with Robin. The grandmother, who showed more concern than BOTH parents, would have reported them missing. The neighbors, who took better care of them than their parents, would have reported them missing.

The mom did it to cover her butt.

I've been waiting for you to chime in on this mik, since you are closer to the situation than any of us. If my neighbor, who I've known for 6 years, told me that she was moving to Arkansas (where her grandparents live) and she had sent her daughter ahead with a relative, I wouldn't think anything of it.

How is the mother acting now? Has she been charged? Is she still staying at the apartment?

WW, I hadn't even thought of that. Whatever the motivation, at least she contacted authorities. Both parents could have just left and disappeared.

As far as I know, she's still staying there. She was acting like the bereaved mother at the memorial, but you know? For all her wailing and crying, I didn't see one tear. But I know other people deal with grief in different ways, so you really can't tell by that. So they say.
I'm still not convinced she wasn't in on it. They weren't separated as was reported..he was living with his family, but using 'his' apartment as a party pad. So many lies, so many conflicting stories, and the grandmother critical of both parents.
I certainly hope they bring her up on charges..though many will say 'she's suffered enough'. To which I will reply..but not half as much as those two babies.
And those bodies would have been discovered eventually. Tony knew EXACTLY where this location was-- its right by one of the buildings he maintains for Centerpoint. The railroad trestle out there is a popular after dark hangout for the local teens and if you think that people are gonna leave a chest and/or suitcase unopened? Just think of Baby Grace. She was found and she was on a freakin' ISLAND!! So these babies would have been too.

You're being awfully nosey Nana. Aren't you the gal that beat up poor Isaiah for reporting the story in the first place?

So, you're the go-to girl for what goes down in the 'hood? I bet Isaiah or the smirking news guy would like to talk to you. So, why do you think he killed those kiddies? To make that Katrina Victim check go further? Drug induced rage? Scam to gain donations from brain dead guilty white liberals?

From what I've read in the paper, he says that people he owed money to ($10,000) killed the kids. Guess we'll see what happens at the trial. Those poor babies. Interesting point I've read, too, is that he had major parole violations and now people are asking had he been picked up for those, would those children be alive today.

1-Right-1, please get back on your meds. You're babbling like Andrea Yates when she's off hers.
My apartment complex is hardly the 'hood'...any more than the site of any other tragedy. If you think that, then you've never truly been in a 'hood'. I would suggest you get out in one, if and that's a big IF, you have the gonads.
The 911 call has been released, and it turns out the mom waited 6 + hours to report them missing cause she thought they were with a friend, and had to wait for the friend to get home to make sure.
Stinky, stinky story, if you ask me.

Professor Treese from UofH Law Center was on 700 on Monday and the way he was talking was that the mom and dad had a fight and he killed the kids in order to get back at the mom. PURE CONJECTURE, though..esp since the way those babies ran around unsupervised, the mom really didn't give a rats behind, as long as those welfare $$$ came in.

it definately struck me as beyond odd that the mother initially/almost always appeared on camera as calm and collected as can be. could it be possible that durng the time the children were missing she was too stoned to even notice? after all, it was well within her reach.

I-Right-I, Isiah wasn't beaten up for reporting the story. He was told that he is not a respectable journalist because he made the story about him - about him having no sleep for X number of hours; about what time he drove out to take pictures; etc. Asking mik's opinion is fitting because she lives in the apartment complex that these children lived in.
