As airlines charge fuel surplus fees to make up the cost of fuel -- do you agree with the idea of slowing down planes to save money?  Let me know what you think.

The question is that they dont want to charge all these little fees but have to . If they dont they will go Belly up and if the prices of Jet Fuel keeps increasing there will be alot more airlines filing for bankruptcy. just picture if this happens taking a fight will become for the rich and well off and there sure will be a stop for the avg. income consumer from seeing there family are friends. all i can say is the airlines are own our sides the real people to blame is the lack of preparing for the demand of Oil that we all so dependent on. we must take steps to become self dependent of our own energy. what we should of done 30 years ago with more oil refineries as a example. to answer the question if the airlines need to slow down to save from going bankrupt by all mean go for it.

Whateva, in my opinion the airlines are doing what it takes to survive, gouching the very people that keep you in the air isn't the answer. The air transportation industry should be at the head of the line on demanding the Federal Govt. put price restrictions and caps on oil companies as well as suspending fuel taxes for the short term. But with an oilman as Pres. of course the cries & pleas would go probably unheard.

I like it!! slow em down to about 60 mph...that way, the passengers can spend as much time in the air as they do in the terminal tryin to get on th plane after being strip searched and having their baggage gone thru by imbeciles who couldnt find their a$$ with both hands!!! and we all know its ONLY MIDDLE EASTERN MEN THAT POSE A THREAT!!! SURE AS HELL NOT 'OL WHITE LADY GRAMMMAS!!!

Never go into a business that you're not good at. So in those wise words, what the airlines want me to believe is that they never projected FUEL COSTS...? My, running an airline must not be all that difficult then now is it?
