Finally College Football is here...
Michigan Fans...What in the "5th ranked" happened...lol....
bottomline..Win the Big Ten or say Bye to the BCS....
Gator Fans....your season opens in 2 weeks...TENNESSEE...nuff said...
Western Kentucky and Troy.. sorry Lake Brantley could beat them....Apopka for sure..lol
But I had to admitt Tim Tebow looked great.....300 yards, 4 td's impressive...
especially with the game ending with over 8 mins left...
but What I want to ask , is whether or not Tebow will do it against TENNESSEE....
it will not only be HIS first true test as a starter but it will be a gut check for the entire
Gator team....What do you think Sports Fans...Are the Gators for real or is it way to early,
until after the Vols game???
let me know...

No question the Red Sox's are playing unbelievable right now..
seven and a half games ahead of the Yankees.
I know there is still alot of baseball to be played, but
boy, they just destroyed the Chisox in the four game series.
Barring injuries, they should easily make the ALCS and perhaps the World Series
where they will meet the METS....
What do you think Red Sox Nation???
Is this your year once again????
Let me know sports fans
Thanks

Well it seems quite a few present and former athletes have now stepped forward and supported Michael Vick and how society has ripped him apart. It seems they feel that society in general doesn't care about "Vick the person" heading to prison, but the big story is now whether or not "Vick the Football Player" will be able to return to the NFL when he is released from prison. Has professional sports and society got to a point that athletes don't matter as far as "the person" is concerned, its now only about MONEY period and what have you done for us lately type of attitude. I agree Vick brought this on himself and now he must face the piper, but are we more concerned with our sports teams then people themselves???
let me know sports fans
i'm looking forward to your response.

The latest betting scandal has ruined the NBA, especially now that former ref
Tim Donahgy has reportedly made a deal and will name at least 20 other NBA refs
who have gambled in some way shape or form, so he can recieve a ligher sentence.
How can basketball fans now trust, that a magic/heat game is on the up and up???
and chances are pro basketball isn't the only game that is being bet on by refs or players
just last season hockey was rocked with a betting scandal, what about the NFL, and the MLB perhaps its only time when cases are found in those two sports..
What do you think?? is all pro sports tainted???
or was it just basketball and hockey???
what about college bowl games??

Ok Gator Nation I know I am about to open up a "Can of Worms"..
BUT it will be a tough season for ya...
here's why....
11 starters are gone....Period....in most programs that's called a "Rebuilding Year"
I know Tim Tebow is GOD in Gainsville but this year it's his team FULL time.
no more just running into the endzone, after Chris Leak led them down field.
I expect Tebow to show great things in some games but NOT on a consistant basis
Urban Meyer will keep them in games but the talent pool won't be there down the stretch.
Bring it ON GATOR NATION....I am expecting your WRATH...
Do you Agree??? Deep Down perhaps but you won't admit it...

Nascar Fans help me out, for the past four years I have been a Nascar fan...
I respect the drivers and what they go through each and every week...no doubt they are all
great athletes. I don't however understand why, you the fans, feel so upset that
Dale Earnhardt Jr. will not get to wear the number eight when he goes to Hendrick Motorsports next season..Can you NOT see its a good BUSINESS decision for Nascar??
Sure the number is special to Junior himself.... BUT ....let's face it, the sport of Nascar
is a billion dollar business they didn't want Junior to take the number with him....
they won't come out and say it but its true....They wanted more then anything to
issue him a NEW number next season which would mean MILLIONS in revenue for the sport...
new hats, t-shirts, water bottles, jackets, posters etc....
If you ran Nascar, would you not want to make MILLIONS more in NEW income next year???
Come on folks...remember YOU the Fans Built Nascar from day one, BUT your paying for it EVERY YEAR....
Do you agree or not???
let me know....lets chat....

Sports Fans I have been away for a week on vacation and wow...
talk about changes in the world of sports..Yankees, NBA Refs, and the latest
on the Falcons Michael Vick.
It seems that Prosecutors have offered Michael Vick a deal, and his lawyers are
hoping for more. Less than a year in prison, if he cops a plea.
Lets face it there is certainly different laws for athletes, hollywood stars and everyone else in the world spotlight, because if that was you or I in Michael Vicks shoes..we are headed to the big house for a long long time..deal what deal..were done period.
What do you think should and will Michael Vick take the deal??
Friday August 17, 2007 is the deadline...
Or will Vick try the Courts and plead not guilty???
Lets talk sports fans

Yankee fans, its time to say goodbye to the Redsox and concentrate on the Indians,
going into today's games, the Tribe has just a 2 game lead over the Yankees for the
wildcard. Its alot better then eight games behind the Bosox. Just stay in the game
for the next 2 months and the ALCS is in your future. Do you agree??
and Boston Fans GREAT pickup in fellow Canadian Eric Gagne, he will make a difference down the stretch.

Well alot of talk as of late, concerning Barry Bonds
As of Sunday, July 22 he is two to tie, three to break Hank Aaron's homerun record
of 755. Despite the steroid rumors......(he's innocent until proven guilty)
why is MLB not promoting this historic event???
Bud Selig still hasn't said whether or not he will attend games as Bonds gets closer
to the record..
Should MLB show Bonds some love or continue to ignore the situation??
I think we should. What do you think???

Is Stan Van Gundy the right man for the Orlando Magic coaching job? Should the Magic have made Donovan stay? Who else do you think might be a better fit?

It's official, Billy Donovan will coach the Orlando Magic. Donovan replaces Brian Hill, who was fired after two consecutive losing seasons. Hill's ouster followed the Magic's first playoff appearance in four years, which ended in the first round against Detroit.
In Orlando, Donovan will try convert that college success into a pro championship -- a difficult feat in the all-business NBA. Donovan said one priority was finding a player who can score from the perimeter to help All-Star Dwight Howard and 7-footer Darko Milicic. Donovan said he already had relationships with several players, and even unsuccessfully recruited the likes of Howard, Trevor Ariza and J.J. Redick while at Florida.
Donovan inherits a team without a single first-round draft pick -- or much veteran experience. Orlando is rebuilding around third-year player Howard, who made his first All-Star team this season.
The Magic have vowed to re-sign free agent Milicic, who flourished despite an injury in the playoffs, but he still has to prove his NBA value.
Besides the coach, the big question mark for Orlando is whether Grant Hill will return. The often-injured star's contract expired this season, and he could opt to retire or chase a title elsewhere. If Hill leaves, it would open up a big load of salary cap room for a skilled offensive player.
Orlando hasn't been out of the first round of the playoffs in a decade.
Will Donovan change your view of the team? Will you go to more games? Do you think the team will play better and attract more talent? What about a new arena? If you were opposed to the idea before, do you support a new arena for the Magic now?

ORLANDO (AP) -- An official in the N-B-A told The Associated Press today that after leading Florida to two national titles, Billy Donovan has agreed to leave the Gators to coach the Orlando Magic.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal hasn't been finalized. The official says Donovan agreed to a five-year, 27-point-five (M) million dollar contract.
What do you think of the move? Bad for the Gators? Good for the Magic? Can Donovan bring the magic back to the Magic?

With Brian Hill out, what's next for the Magic. A veteran coach or an assistant "newbie."
I think the best coach out there right now is former Pacers head coach, Rick Carlisle. Can he handle a young team... yes he's proven that already.... Pacers! Does he have what it takes to get the Magic to the next level... yes ... he proved it in Detroit! But the question now remains, will the Magic spend the money to get him? I hope so!
Your thoughts?
