Story here
Remember all those union members that supported Barak Obama? I guess they weren't paying attention much when he said it would take EVERYONE participating to bail out the economy. The union reps attitudes are that they want to costly pension and retirement plans that have driven manufacturing out of the country and simply do not care if it drives the companies that employ them into Chapter 7. And for those of you who don't analyze what unions are saying, they are saying this-
We don't care because we don't have to care. We have been promised by the Federal Government that our pensions will be guaranteed. Never mind that the pension guarantee fund is broke. Never mind that there are perhaps a MILLION jobs on the line. Let's just all stick to that union code.
And these were the proud supporters of our incoming president. The same folks who think that they are above the law, beyond the finance companies and that they don't have to handle any of their personal obligations just because Barak Obama was elected president. Well whoopie-freaking-do.

We can thank our wonderful unions for the mess the auto industry is in. GM, for example, pays 73 dollars per hour per employee for labor and health care. Toyota is at 48 per hour. Others are less, but still far too much. At one time unions were good, but now it is for their own benefit. This will come back and bite evryone who voted for Obama.

And if the 'secret ballot' is done away with there will be more unions and we will all be paying more and more. I think thats what they want. All of us to be paying about 70 per cent of our income to the government. Looks like it will be a very long 4 years and it hasn't even officilly started.........

I guess the whole biting the hand that feeds you story just passed them by. Who do the unions think will supply all of those jobs if GM and Ford just "go away?" And frankly, without some sort of accommodation, that could happen. Right now, Congress-which doesn't know BLEEP about building anything-is telling Detroit how to build cars. The Volt is not going to sell which is why they are offering a $7500 tax rebate on it. How about Congress gets their noses out of industry and starts taking care of their own neck of the woods. First and foremost-cut back staffing in DC. Secondly, instate real campaign reform.
Third, roll back THEIR pensions and perqs.

LET IT HAPPEN. LET THE GREED MONSTERS HAVE THEIR MONEY AT ALL COSTS. Now before you whip out the lashes, let me explain. If they get their money, the unions look like the criminals that they are. Most common folk outside the circle know this, but common folk are not the ones that put the Bamer in office. Emotional black communities did, and less than intelligent college students, without the common sense God gave a knat, put him in office. That was a make up of almost 2/3 rds of the voting population...Union money powered the machine, and pow....now we have a HUGE mess on our hands. The Unions, liberals, and twisted ideology will be the perverbial death of the administration, and Dem party. Its the ideal SHOT IN THE FOOT that the conservative base needs to prove a point.

I am a teacher, a mother and wife and I like to think I am a pretty good citizen. I read ALOT. I also write a good deal on various blogs. I appreciate a chance to respond to what we see in the news. I think that by posting our opinions we can probably find that everyone is more alike than we are willing to admit. Face it, people just like to argue. I would also like to say how much I appreciate having a forum for my views.
