Fanchon Stinger Has been a lot more involved than by innocents as I had hoped. I now feel differently, but here's an interesting thing to see. We have all been on Kwame Kilpatrick for being guilty and wanting him removed, even before his day in court. Will Fox 2 dismiss Fanchon before
possibly hers?

I'm not sold on this one yet . I don't see any conection with reporting news , and making news . Unless there is something specific in her contract , I dont have a problem with her being a homewrecking slut who never showed enough booty on tv anyway .

It seems like they already have by taking her off the news with pay, at least until she is either cleared or charged. I have to admit I've said all along many names will come out connected with the corrupt Mayor and/or the corrupt city government. A shame if she is guilty to waste such a secure career for the likes of the Mayor though. This is what kwame does too-He pimps these women with promises of riches & glory, then kicks them to the curb when his hand is caught in the cookie jar-Take Beatty for good example. McPhail may want to watch her back too.

I was shocked at this. I thought Fanchon was an uptight, snobby looking, educated, well dressed woman. Looks are decieving. She runs with trash.(no pun intended. lol) Fox 2 let this go on a little too long.

WHAT DID SHE DO!! Besides the affair. Other then that she made a business deal, that she changed her mind about. What if another consultant company made that deal, would their history and life style be investigated too? Keep in mind Fanchon's job was to sell the deal(sought of speak, not like you all are thinking, at least I hope not; we don't know yet) to the residents, community and to the city council; to convince them that it was a good ideal. Any consultant firm could had been picked. Did she participate in the neogiations of the contract? Do she own stock in this company? Is Fanchon being investigated by the FBI? Has ANYBODY.. been charge with a crime? Has Fanchon, if so what crime? Adultry? He without sin throw the first stone, we're throwing her up under the bus because she might, we assume had or is having an affair? We're jumping the gum and don't have all of the facts. Must we be so fast to throw Fanchon under the bus TOO!!!

1. why in the hell would you take it in the first place?

2. when she accepted this money FRANKENSTEIN OPENED HER A NEW COMPANY YOU GUYS HAVE GOT TO CATCH THE LINK ON SOUND-OFF and read the paper and the Michigan CHON.

3. And yeah she'd been screwing ray-ray for years and she was aware of the bad deal and her and conyers are down together.

A shame to see anyone throw away a good career and lifestyle because they couldn`t cross their legs and just say no. She knew he was a married man. That should have been the only red flag needed, but she kept on and got drug into more crap with him. It`s almost like a Domino effect. How many more are going to be exposed and fall?

Well Springthing, it's like this...we don't know what she did illegally although she was named in a lawsuit w/Jackson, what she did though not illegal was not heed the warning of her employer to steer clear of this guy. Jackson was previously taken to task for receiving city-owned property dirt cheap flipping them, and leaving the resident with a hell-hole to live in. The city department employee who was selling the property to him dirt cheap resigned.

Stinger made a conscious decision against her employer's best interest in HER JOB. Basically her actions said F-you to her employer and her employer obviously said F-you back!!!! Fanchon was playing frogger in traffic and jumped in front of the bus, she could have very easily stayed on the porch.

Also, I think yes, all involved with the deal would have been and will be investigated just the same. Not because of the deal itself, but because of the money that has changed hands to secure the deal, which probably was a bad deal for the city...a city that is already flatlining. Question is, did she get paid to push a deal that she knew was not good for the city? Synagro admitted to paying her, but did she receive anything from Jackson for her attendance, because Jacksons name alone was suspect to Synagro to the extent that Kwame Kenyatta said when he saw Jackson's name he automatically voted against it. If Synagro was the best contractor for the job then why all the backdoor deals to push them?

Anybody in their right mind dealing with a person whose background is suspect should always proceed with caution. Her relationship with Jackson superceded her loyalty to her employer and to herself.

I am sorry to see her go, but her involvement is a conflict of her journalistic perspective. As much time is givin in the investigation of other persons who may have done wrong, lets have fair journalism here as well.

yeah Spring thing, it's a lot more complicated than her just being an homewrecker. I'm sure under her contract with Fox2 there is a clause that strongly punishes her from business dealings that will create a conflict of interest with her day job. Ms. Stinger acted as a spokeperson for a company that was under federal investigation for fraudulent activities. She created a company before the city council approved of the deal and then when the approval was made she was monetarily rewarded for it. No there is nothing really illegal that she is guilty of yet but she did sign a moral contract with the station too, she violated that, got suspended and then got fired. So there you have it, another talented person falling for greed and notoriety instead of doing things the right way .

Not to mention, with a position as a resporter I'm sure there is a confidentiality agreement, and/or a non-compete agreement that she is bound to. I also believe that any other outside employment that is a conflict of interest and/or a black-eye for the network wouldn't be tolerated. Anyone would use discretion in not threatening their "bread and butter". Now if Jackson can butter her bread, that's one thing, but if you end up being "toast" because of your decision then 'burn baby burn'!

Received from a source......

Synagro is wholly owned by the International Carlyle Group, one of the worlds' largest private equity firms, with more than $82.7 billion under management in 21 countries and close ties to the Bush administration and its wars. Also, In 1999 in response to then Mayor Dennis Archer the city council aproved a no bid sludge deal with Wisconsin based Detroit Minergy LLC. At the time the contract was passed, the MI Citizen exclusivelly exposed Minergy's close ties to officials in Mayor Dennis Archer's administration and a Minergy contribution to Councilwoman Sheila Cockrel, among other matters.

However, Minergy was financially unable to meet Michigan's heightened environmental requirements and the sludge contract remained in limbo for 8 years.

Carlyle Group's Synagro picked up that same no-bid contract and secured approval from the current city council based on the minority participation of Detroit Rayford Jackson's firm, RAS Development Group. Rayford Jackson is the son-in-law of well known architect Harold Varner.

....not that this has anything to do with Stinger - FYI

MIDEAST TERROR WAR ADDS URGENCY TO CARLYLE GROUP CONTROVERSY

Former President Bush Works for International Investment Firm With Ties To Saudi Arabia

Company Had Bin Laden Family Connections

(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch, the public interest law firm that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, today pointed out that the recent spate of terror attacks on Israel has lent new urgency to the need for former President Bush to resign from the Carlyle Group, an international investment firm with close ties to the government of Saudi Arabia.

The former president, the father of President Bush, worked for the bin Laden family business in Saudi Arabia through the Carlyle Group, meeting with them at least twice. The terrorist leader Osama bin Laden had supposedly been “disowned” by his family, which runs a multi-billion dollar business in Saudi Arabia and was a major investor in the senior Bush’s firm. Other reports have stated his Saudi family have not truly cut off Osama bin Laden.

In the wake of Judicial Watch and other criticism of its ties to the bin Laden family business, the Carlyle Group reportedly no longer does business with the bin Laden conglomerate. Yet the Group, among other conflicts of interest, reportedly has a major business relationship with the Saudi Arabian government, which many have criticized for its lack of cooperation in America’s war on terrorism and its financial and other support for terrorist attacks on Israel and U.S. interests.

David Sanger piece in The New York Times today, that President Bush consults with his father on issues of the day. In a normal situation, this would be appropriate, but with President Bush’s father being effectively an agent of the Saudi Arabian government, it raises, in the least, a conflict of interest problem. Questions can be raised, for instance, if the ‘kid gloves’ treatment of Saudi Arabia by the Bush Administration has anything to do with his father’s financial ties to the Saudi regime. Former President Bush would be doing his son and his country a favor by immediately resigning from the Carlyle Group,” stated Judicial Watch Chairman and General Counsel Larry Klayman.

Scott Lewis is said not to be his real name.

"And finally, the other lesson is: When you are a Muslim under investigation and don't want to get noticed, eat at a kosher restaurant. The Southfield, Michigan restaurant, at which "Scott Lewis"--whoever he is--and FOX 2 surveilled a lunch meeting with Stinger and Rayford Jackson Muhammad is a strictly kosher pizza place, "Jerusalem Pizza." Oh, the irony of Jackson Muhammad--who frequently denounced Jews and Israel--needing to rely on those same Jews for shelter and cover. The restaurant, owned by friends of mine, makes excellent pizza, by the way (and has all the vegetarian fake meat toppings you can think of--kosher Jews do not eat meat and dairy together). I recommend the place highly."
