Starbucks downsizing

Three Starbucks in a two block radius-- a pretty common sight, right?   Well, it's apparently become too much of a "good" thing.  In a sign of the times,  the company announced it will close 600 of its underperforming stores and lay off more than 12,000 employees!   While I feel for the employees who will be affected, I'm not too torn up over the news...never been a fan of $4/cup joe. Where do you get your lattes?

Yeah, I don't do the $4 cup of joe either. But I will do the freshly squeezed OJ at Whole Foods!!!! Pricey, but good!

suchita you couldn't be more right.. and i;ve got an idea for all the starbuck folk out there... rather than lay off all these people why dont they slash their price o' joe to 2 bucks and they will more than double their sales and save all the jobs to boot! i make my coffee at home. i'm an awesome barrista if you ever need a cup!!

Fourbucks is the evil empire! Let it crumble, I say. Hey Suchita, you ever hear of a musician named Phil Jones? I saw him open for Crowded House a year or so ago, then I just noticed recently on his myspace that you are listed as one of his influences lol - thought that was kinda odd. His music is awesome, though - so at least you influenced him well!! haha :) See how cool you are?? Anyways, take care and keep up the good work! Anne
