SAT's....do we need them?

Wake Forest University has decided to drop SAT scores as a requirement for admission.  They say it's not an accurate way to gauge student success and puts too much weight on one aspect of academic performance.  I still remember how much anxiety SAT's caused me!  UGH! 

In your opinion, what role, if any, should standardized tests have in college applications?

School officials say they will make admissions decisions based on high school curriculum and grades, combined with written essays, extracurricular activities and evidence of character and talent... I rather take the SAT .

SAT's should not hold much weight on college application. Some people just dont do well on test. That doesnt mean that they do not know the information. It just means that they just get too nervous. I know from experience.

I don't really care about the SAT. I took them 30 years ago. Here's what I want to know:

At 7:30am during Good Day, Suchita welcomes us back to the 7:30 half hour of Good Day. I think you would actually have to have been somewhere before to be welcomed back to it. So having said that, why does she welcome us back to the 7:30 half hour of Good Day if we haven't been there yet and it is just starting?

Here's what drives me insane: why is there a piece on Dagmar Midcap in the AJC today, and as far as I know there's never been anything about Suchita? I'm writing to Rodney BLEEP this evening to demand equal time for Suchita. I bet I won't be the first.

Do you think she ever checks this and reads our moronic comments?

SAT's didn't get me in a good school. My grades did. I never did good with those test so I think its good what WFU is starting. That 1 test shouldn't get you in a good college or university.
