Valentine's Day is one of those unique holidays that elicits different emotions from different people...it brings out the die-hard romantics AND the die hard cynics...  Which camp do you fall in?  Or are you somewhere in between?
Do you think Valentine's Day is a commercially-concocted contrived excuse to spend money on overpriced flowers, frivolous heart-shaped boxes of candy, teddy bears, and expensive dinners?  Do you feel like you're being forced to go through these rituals to prove you care about someone?  You've heard of the "Anti-Valentine's Day" parties?  The annual Bitter Ball thrown by a local radio station...and sold out every year....
Or...are you one of those people who looks forward to this day for love and romance all year long. Is it a time to go the extra mile to show that someone special just how much you care? Are you happy to embrace the full range of romantic gestures...from the cards to the sentimental gifts, etc?.  Does the lovely mood of the day just make you feel all warm and fuzzy?
OR...are you kinda in the middle....you begrudgingly get on board simply to make your significant other happy...while secretly thinking the whole holiday is not all it's cracked up to be?
Curious to see what people really think....

I'd rather love you every day, than tomorrow Suchita! Of course... tomorrow would be cool too, but that's up to you!

I believe Valentine's Day is an excuse for companies to make money. I'm a romantic at heart so if I wanted to buy you flowers it would be on any other day then Valentine's Day. Being spontaneous is romantic not being predictable. Furthermore, my woman would know that I care because all of the smaller things that I do would all add up as proof. So every day she would get a small piece of the elements of "Valentine's Day".

Suchita, FOX 5 Morning News Co-anchor and Good Day Host I've been at FOX 5 and in Atlanta over 5 years and have loved every minute of it! After globetrotting from St. Louis to Chicago, San Francisco, Paris, India and Singapore, I've finally begun to put down roots here in our great city :-) Can't get enough of cool restaurants and funky hangouts....if food is involved, I'm THERE! LOVE trying new cuisines, and learning about different places and cultures :-) My I-pod is loaded with 80's music. Watch out---I'll find any excuse to throw on a pair of legwarmers!
