Welcome to Obama Land!!

Duffel bags stuffed with cocaine were delivered by plane to an out-of-the-way suburban Chicago, Illinois airport, while two sheriff's officers provided security. A police officer stood by to guard the cash and keep out the riffraff at a poker game where $100,000 changed hands. And a drug dealer was told squad cars marked "sheriff" and "sheriff's police" might be available on a "freelance" basis to provide protection for his deliveries. Such tales of law enforcement gone awry emerged in court papers Tuesday as federal prosecutors unveiled a series of elaborate sting operations aimed at officers who hired out to ride shotgun for drug dealers, deals and other criminal activities.Fifteen officers and two other men who had pretended to be law enforcement officers were charged with conspiracy to possess and distribute cocaine or heroin or both.

But the most spectacular pretending was done by the federal agents themselves. The pilots of the airplane were not drug runners but undercover agents. So were the gamblers who busily played hand after hand of high-stakes poker, all for show. Also the drug broker who squired the officers to the airport to pick up the duffel bags was an agent. So was the drug dealer who stuffed the bags into his Mercedes-Benz.

U.S. Attorney Patrick J. Fitzgerald said he was dismayed to find that so many law enforcement officers had "sold out their badge."

An undercover FBI agent moved into a business in Harvey, Illinois more than a year ago and set up shop as a drug broker. He soon attracted the attention of police and the corruption grew, authorities said. They said the agent was sent in undercover because there had been reports of police corruption over the last several years in southern Cook County, including the Harvey police department.
Those charged include 10 Cook County sheriff's correctional officers, four Harvey police officers and one Chicago police officer.

Of the 17 defendants, 14 were arrested or surrendered Tuesday and, two sheriff's officers that are on active duty with units in Afghanistan, warrants were issued for their arrest.
Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart called the alleged behavior "absolutely reprehensible." Do you think that may be a bit of an understatement there Tommy boy??

Chicago, New York City, L.A., New Orleans, Dallas/Fort Worth and Miami all run a pretty close tie in that reguards. Good old Al Capone had that all figured out, I believe the Treasury Dept. and income tax evasion finally took him out.

Meb452m, check out what a couple of YOBama lover's posted on the MyFoxColorado site in regards to this same post. I have no problem with anyone's choices, but some people are just blinded by his BS.
I laughed at the dill holes and their responses, There were three other poster's that made exactly the connection I was going for, as you did.

I did take the time to check you're other posting out Starrman, some intresting comments indeed. Getting back to Obama Land, one story I found of compelling intrest was when the black community pleaded for stricter laws to get repeat gang offenders off the streets perminately,it fell on deaf ears. That was my take on their communities own words. If gang related violence or any other type criminal violence isn't detremental to qualify of life issues, then I'm rather dumbfounded.

I had another thought on this topic. Whatever happened to LIFE,LIBERTY, and the PURSUIT of HAPPYNESS ? Obviously, with the state of various Local,State and Federal justice systems criminals are little detered from their interpertation of those CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS. But what happened to the LAWFULL LOT ( present majority, but for how long ?) for whom that statement originally sought to protect ? Will it become, " If You Can't Beat Them, Then Might As Well Join Them " ?

Meb452m, the old ideas about victims rights no longer exist. All the bleeding heart liberals are so afraid that the criminal's rights will be infringed on. screw the victims. U-F-B!!
I guess if you have been reading some of my posts, you know how pizzed I am at the sheer lack of indifference towards illegals that our elected Bozo's show towards them. Like you I am sure, I have worked to hard and to many years to have some two-bit piece of scum steal my belongings, or attempt to rob or kill me. I wont join them, but I will make EVERY effort for them to meet their maker.

Not planning on joining them either. But one can only wonder who and how many already have. Case in point : Two Orange County deputies went to an apartment complex in Wintergarden, as best I recall. Purpose two apprehend two drug related suspects for a routine questioning, probable cause already determined. Both deputies, on arrival, surrounded by approximately 100 persons protesting and blocking attempts for them to carry out an order and lawfull duty. Deputies call in backup, situation doesn't esculate, but subjects made getaway. Sounds like some drug types spreading their wealth for some camoflauge and protection, but then I could be wrong ? I can't name the source, but in a very candid conversation after my working hours, this individual stated in discussing the crime and criminal element : " We only give the illusion of control. " I have no to doubt his character, personal knowledge of the matters, or integrity. Sobering assessment, how little the masses truly know !

If the masses don't wake up, as my Dad said to me over and over as a youth, it will be way past too late.

Enjoy fishing, the outdoors, my woodshop, and of course blogging. Met a lot of new friends here this year, and a couple of not so friendlies, but that is what makes the world go around. Still waiting for SOMEONE in authority to step up to the plate and start running the illegal scourge back the wherever they came from. Maybe some unemployed LEGAL Americans can get a job that some illegal is now STEALING from a legal citizen.
