It's looking increasingly unlikely that either Florida or Michigan will redo their Democratic Primary votes.

Which means it's probably a mathematical impossibility for Hillary Clinton to catch Barack Obama in either pledged delegates or the popular vote.

She will argue -- is already arguing -- that she's more electable in November, particularly in the big states Democrats need to win.

And her allies are correct that the Superdelegates are supposed to vote their consciences, irrespective of the votes in the primaries.

But many of the Superdelegates are officeholders themselves, and they have their own survival, and their Party's, to consider.

Does anyone really believe those honchos (a majority of whom are White) will overturn the result of the primary season and give the nomination to Hillary?

Speaker Nancy Pelosi is on record saying it would devastate the Party.

Politico.com quotes several unnamed Clinton aides as saying she has only a 10 percent chance of winning the nomination.

If it's really over, why beat up Obama for the next several months?

If it's not over, how does Clinton win?

What do you think?

I'm a Republican. But I do believe if Clinton and Obabma worked together by coming together. Instead of all this wasted energy against each other.I would probably swing that way. It's up to them !

I agree w/Logistics42
People are desperate for a change after Bush's mismangement of the war and just about
everything else. It's amazing really...what should be a slam-dunk-victory scenerio for democrats is actually a 'very up in the air'
contest against McCain. The democrat party delegate rules have become a political albatross that mocks the concept of the will of people/majority. Maybe Florida & Michigan were just to dumb to understand democrat party rules.
Voters seem willing enough to overlook Hillary's bold face LIE about being against NAFTA from the begining. They are apparently blind to Obama's LIE that he knew nothing of rev.Wright's hate mongering&delusions.
Whatever the outcome, even if McCain wins - the democrats win by default, because the republican candidate is essentially a democrat except for his stance on the war.
If McCain wins, this will not please my staunchly democrat neighbor though. I will have to suffer for years to come listening to how all the voting machines are rigged to always come out with more ballots voted republican(vast rightwing conspiracy). My neighbor will not feel like a winner with the democrat-leaning-McCain as president. That's because even in a no-lose situation for them(democrats)... they are still of a loser mentality.

gfg; has a point really, it's no lose for dems this year. Mcain is about of middle of the road repub that you can find this side of the ground. So.... An I personally think Hill is going to recieve the Nomination. The Obama campaign is all for media hype. Kind of like the Great white Hope just in reverse.I guess we could call it the Great Black hope. Honestly he is the best candidate for change. But factually and actually i don't think it's going to happen. Ratings, what more can I say. I would like for her to concede but I'm a realist. An just like everything else. The only way to get in is to meet certain criteria. An much like clubs don't allow white Tee shirts that club doesn't allow black(ones).

Ron Paul is the only real answer for change in this fascist state we call America. I'm a realist and know that Ron Paul does not even have a chance to forge his ideas.

I'm a realist too and therefore very discouraged that our current political system
seems unable to accomodate a 3rd party. What would be bad about an alternative ? Washington can hardly do anything anything with the 2 we have anyway...
At least the republican party had some variations in it's choice of candidates this time around. I found Ron Paul and to some extent, Huckabee to be refreshing and interesting as well as Alan Keyes. I wish I could say that the democrat party was as fertile in it's field of choices. Regretably,
in spite of their rhetoric about being the party of diversity- they all seem to march mind numbingly in lockstep like brainwashed lemmings in an unwavering stampede to the cliff of socialism. (That's a hint, in case anyone is wondering what Obama has in mind, when he talks about change...ditto for Hillary)

I wish people would let the idea of a socialist state rest.Regardless of who obtains the seat will still have to well to do branches of gov. with there own personnel agenda's that would have to be totally reformed and mind washed. Fear reveals itself in strange ways and in this instance fear of something African. We don't won't reparations then again maybe we do but it would not be in the best interest of the whole so therefore we will let the past injustices slide. Just allow us a fair shot and stop being so hypocritical.

Once there was a radical republican senate leader named Thadeus Stevens. He championed the just cause of reparations for exslaves.
He was thwarted in his efforts by democrats-
the party that championed slavery, and rejected/rebelled agaist the Constitutional princple of-"All men are created equal".
After the democrats defeated the just cause
of - "40 acres & a mule" in the senate,they invented Jim Crow opression. The Republican Pesident U.S.Grant,led the political fight against the suppression of civil rights for blacks. Of course, the Dems' aborted that just cause too. Dwight Eisinhower(R) banged his head
against the stonewall of democrat segragationists too.
My point is, why are so many people of the opinion(brainwashed) to think that democrats are so great at social justice, compassion,
democracy and justice when they have such a poor record of supporting it before Kennedy.
Further still, why are blacks predominately
loyal to a party that enslaved/oppressed them ?
OK, Ok, let bygones be bygones. Let's hope for good in the future - God bless the source-African or female- whatever. But can anything good come out of a party that champions the slaughter(abortion)of innocent babies by the 100's of thousands ? Is there a abolishionist democrat candidate even nowadays ? You got a fair shot at the White house - if you don't make it,blame your party and it's beliefs.

mouthpiece;
to get back on subject...the jist of my original post was- there is not much difference in the platforms of Obama & Clinton,
or for that matter any of the other democrat
candidates that ran. Furthermore, the democrat party platform has been the same for decades...
just different faces. My point was at least the republican candidates had more varied/diversified stances on issues. For instance; for the war & against, for abortion & against, for a national healthcare plan & no health care plans, school vouchers or no...etc.
The democrat field of candidates was basically a personality,gender,race choice. So I don't think it matters if Cinton concedes, we still
get the same basic stance on the issues with Obama. If the dems lose again it's because people don't agree with their philosphy/platform - not fear. You might be more succsessful putting your guilt trip and reverse sterotyping on a white liberal and try not to be so presumpuous.

Well stated gfg, I see you know a little about Politics... Yes most AAmericans don't realise that the dem party historically championed segragtionist/anti-equal practices. Most people don't know that we were intially repub's but with that being said. Wasn't Grant the guy that said, "they have made this law now let me see them enforce it." Thats why I have a problem with people that show by partizenship with no reasoning behind it. On both sides. If more people would start evauluating the candidates individually it would be better. Fair shot hardly Look how sen Obama has been scrutinized on everything but his ideas or political stances. I watched Rev. Wright speech an I didn't here any lies he stated truthes that I happened to agree with. Yet I don't harbor any hatred toward white people. I judge individuals. No one person is responsible for any other responsible logical being.

Good morning & Happy Easter Mouthpiece;
I believe you are mistaken in attributing the
quote; "they made this law know let them enforce it." to U.S.Grant. You apply the intent of the quote correctly though. It was
Andrew Jackson and he said that in reference to
the supreme court just ruling in favor of
the Cherokee Nation's petition to remain on thier ancestral lands. If you want to start
a movement to remove andy off the $20 bill -
dig up his bones and burn them and cast them in the sea...I'll second the motion ! He broke his sacred vow as president and is a disgrace to our country.

In regard to Obamas "fairshot" it seems that the campaign process is, and always has been
less than a contest of ideas. I agree w/u that there is partizan 'lemmings' on both sides.
I don't think that holds true of McCain though.
Honestly, I have not heard many specific ideas from Obama(I like the man) most of his speeches have been in the line of generic inspiration. Finally, It is my opinion that Obama did lie about -not knowing of Wrights outrageous rhetoric- heres my reasoning;
1) Obama's wife said in Iowa that "for the 1st time she felt proud of her country." I believe
that is a major indicator that she is privy to the themes of Wright's philosphy. If Obama's
wife knows it- then Barack knows. I don't buy the spin put out, as an explanation for her comment.
2) Obama has entertained Wright many times over the years in his home-fertile ground for
the conversation to touch on the delusional opinions.
3) Barack refers to Wright as his mentor & he has been his spiritual shepperd- one doe's not, responsibly, submit to that kind of relationship lightly or superficially.
Therefore if it came to a trial and I was in the jury - I would be inclined to believe that Barack was practicing deception especially because he associated with him for 20yrs.
* All people lie, it was politically expediant for Obama to do so. He refuted /denounced the heresy... OK ! but he did lie...nobody is perfect in spite of what many expect and pretend. I think I'm reasonable in my assumptions- I don't like it when I see people go into mental contortions trying to explain away the obvious.

Heres the question???? B4 the civil rights movement. An during the television was a platform that anti Aamerican rhetoric was blasted. Rev. Wright made a speech and the funny thing about it to me is only white people seem to be offended. The majority of Aamericans understood exactly what he was saying including myself. An if history serves us correctly his statements are valid. He did not say White Americans. He said Americans addressing us all. We you to have a saying, stemmed from a rap song that said "You better check yourself before you wreck yourself." This is the point Rev Wright was trying to make I think. Also after Mr. Obama has addressed his stance in the situation why does it continue to be a topic of discussion. I think he gave a very respectful and carefully thought answer. So why won't they except it and move on. Maybe, his response wasn't the response they wanted to hear.gfg can you point out the parts of the sermon you had a problem with so I can help you understand.

mouthpiece thanks for your willingness for dialog;
America is "checking" itself and "wrecking" itself all the time...let's face it we are pretty clumsy. We are clumsily trying to check
racism-even from the moment the Constition was written up till now. Racism & bigotry is a "human condition" and is therefore COMMON
to all people's of color & ALL countries - it has always been and always will be. It's of the same stuff as; greed,murder,false witness and all other sin. Everyone,everywhere is prejudice to a degree.
Now if your asking me about Wright's sermon(not a theme of this blog).Here is the problem;
1) "god damn" America"-He just condemed the country that invented the concept of "ALL men are equal"-Jefferson could have left that phrase outBush planned and easily closed the door of HOPE for the abolishment of slavery forever. Wright ignores all'checking'progress.
He also aids and asists the enemies of the Constitution in a time of war.
2)Bush planned 9/11 - this is so sczophrenic crazy & ludicruous -no sane person needs help understanding it.
3)The USA conspired to wipeout blacks w/AIDS.
Yes, I'm aware of the med-experiments that
deliberately infected blacks in the 1930's - again Wright ignores ALL progress & 'checking'.
4) The US is racist for "nuking" the Japanese in WWII.- The prevailing revisionist history that is taught(mindwashing)in universities.
In the real world(then1945@war)realistic estimates of casualities for an invasion of Japan would have FAR surpassed the casualities of Hirohima&Nagagaski- that's combined US military&Japanese men-women-childre

cont.
-children who were sworn&trained to fight to the death for their country. The Japanese never thought of surrendering -before the nukes-and many still wanted and expected to fight after the nukes. Further,more German civilians(men-women-children) died from convential bombs then japanese from nukes. So what is Wright implying -Fewer Japanese nuked dead are superior to more German bomb dead ?
Wright is actually 'wrecking' his country. He is misleading people,sowing discord among his brethern & countrymen. He is aiding & abetting the enemies of the Constitution and it's defenders who are DIEING for his(Wright's)right to rave. Wright is also a False Prophet by biblical definition.

So mouthpiece;
You brought up Wright in your last blog- not me. If you think the majority sees the 'validity' of Wright's comments - then why did Obama reject & denounce them(as he rightly should have) ? All I can think is, if you know people defending/believing that Wright is a truth teller and he's giving a fair/current assesment of his country. Then you must know
alot of people that call crooked straight.
Such people have a tendancy to reject/refuse correction.They usually will ignore and vilify a real truth teller(Bill Cosby-for one example) and as the Bible say's - "the decieved will go on being decieved". (checking - wrecking, that's a good one-thanks).

Yeah , with wright were way off the subject but anytime a read a bloggers comments i think I can reach I have to try...You like the check b4 you wreck. Well I like the "people tend to reject/refuse correction" or anything that would make them look demonic... Okay personally any innocent life lost behind war is one life to many. An the 10s of thousands of innocent women and children that died in Heroshima and Nagasaki is inexscusable. Second Obama didn't reject or denounce Rev. Wright. An this is one I've been waiting to tackle with someone of more intelligence than me./AIDS/ What disease does white America suffer from. Didn't this disease start in your demographic??? Why is it if you go to The CDC website at the top of the list is African American. Yet there's no statistics showing how the disease is effecting the caucasin community. If you put in Aids and white on the search engine you will only get statistics in comparison to the African American community, What???...Surpression comes in many forms and if you listen I can show you alot. I may not change your opinion but I will cause you to think... Finally we stress safe sex. There a thousand safe sex commercials on BET daily. You will never find a rapper talking about unsafe sex. In comparisson you never hear anything on MTV. Unless it's AIDS day. Then you have Girls gone Wild to add to insult.
