It's almost here. Twi-harders can hardly wait. Fans of the book are already snapping up tickets to midnite showings of Twilight.
It's a killer movie (pun intended) ... and though I haven't read the book, I'm told the movie stays true to the original story.
Check out my interview with the stars: click here.
Are you looking forward to it? What do you think about the casting of Rob Pattinson as Edward? Is Kristen Stewart a good choice for Bella?
What do you think?

I had not read the book, so when I saw The Secret Life of Bees, I knew little about the plot. What a compelling story! Well acted all the way around .. and I think it's Dakota Fanning's best work yet.
To see my review: click here.
Btw ... while interiewing Dakota, who is now 14 years old, i asked her why she hasn't turned into a party girl like so many of her peers in Hollywood. She told me it's because of her family. I made her promise me she wouldn't go down that wild path of booze and drugs. She promised. Let's hope she can stay firm as she continues through her teen years.
Thoughts on the movie? The cast? Dakota's promise?

Keira Knightley has never been better than she is in The Duchess. Her performance will make you laugh .. and make you cry. I'm thinking oscar nomination.
I talked to Keira about this character being hounded by 18th century paparazzi ... much like Keira is hounded today. To see my interview with her ... click here.
Are you a Keira fan? What's your favorite Keira movie? What did you think of The Duchess? Chime in!

I like almost all sports movies. Yes, even the sappy, corny ones. Something about fighting adversity .. the music swells .. the underdog triumphs. It just makes you feel good.
The Express is no different ... and ... it deals with real issues ... not just what's happening on the field. Check out my review: click here ... and let me know what you think.
My favorite sports movie is Hoosiers. What's yours?

I typically like the Coen Brothers films, but this one just isn't funny. If you've seen the trailer, you've seen the funny parts. Good performances by Pitt, Clooney, Swinton, McDormand and Malcovich ... but the movie itself just doesn't come together.
I was very disappointed. To read my review ... click here.
What about you? Anybody like the film?

Hey Movie Buffs --
Tyler Perry's has a new movie called "The Family that Preys". Perry has played St. Louis many times .. bringing his wildly successful stage plays to the Fox Theatre. He told me he loves the crazy St. Louis audiences .. only rivaled by Chicago and Detroit.
If you would like to read my review of "The Family that Preys", click here.

I did not watch the X-files on TV. It's not that I didn't like it. I just never started watching it.
That said, I can tell you that I enjoyed the movie. (3 out of 4 reels) My favorite movie genre is suspence/thriller .. and this one is a pretty good one.
You don't have to be an X-Files fanatic to "get" this movie. It stands alone.
But I'd love to hear what some of you X-Files fans think of the movie.
Here's my review: click here.

Hey Gang --
I'm a big fan of the musical on stage .. but I gotta tell ya .. I'm disappointed in the movie version. There are a few non-singers who got the job because they're stars. Sorry .. in a movie like Mamma Mia!, you need to not only be able to act the part, but also SING the part.
That being said ... I've got nothing but good things to say about the young woman who plays Sophie. Her name is Amanda Seyfried and she's terrific.
If you'd like to see my review of the film, click here.
Also ... I interviewed all the stars .. including the world's great actress, Meryl Streep. I wanted you to be able to see the entire interviews .. so just click on their names, then their pictures to check 'em out.
Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Amanda Seyfried, Christine Baranski
I want to know what you think of Mamma Mia! Did you like it? Hate it? Somewhere in between?
As I write this, I'm in Hollywood about to interview David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson about the new X-Files movie. More on that later.

Talk about an amazing performance .. Heath Ledger is terrific as the Joker in The Dark Knight. In fact, I think he'll get a posthumous Oscar nomination.
And ... as to all that speculation that Ledger was driven to his untimely death because he was consumed by playing the demented character ... his co-stars told me that's simply not true. They say he was fine on the set and showed no signs of being haunted by the role.
For you Batman fans ... I'd love to hear what you think about the film. So .. after you see it, come back here and chime in.

My favorite interview for this movie was with Vern Troyer (aka Mini Me from the Austin Powers movies) ... especially because we conducted the interview in an office just his size! Check it out at: Vern Troyer.
Got questions about your love life? How to get a man/woman? How to dump a man/woman?
Let me know what you want to know from the guru of love .. and I'll ask him. (aka Mike Meyers)

What's your favorite movie .. and why?
I'll go first .. mine is Dangerous Liaisons. Why? Because it's got a great story, great writing, great costumes, great acting .. and Glenn Close. She chews through the scenery. Priceless.
