Do You Give Your Children Birthday Gifts?

Photobucket

Apparently the Obama's are on the cheap side of the Gift giving scale as revealed in a recent interview by "People Magazine".

The Following is the transcript of the birthday question.

PEOPLE: Someone told me today that you don't do birthday presents.

Michelle: No, because we spend hundreds of dollars on a birthday party and movie tickets and pizza and popcorn ...

Barack: That sleepover is enough. We want to teach some limits to them. And their friends bring over presents.

I guess the limits the Obama's want to impress on thier children is "Let Other Than Family Give You Things". Is this the way a U.S. Senator Should feel.  So, Michelle will say: Barry if you need a new car, let the taxpayers give it to you. (Knuckle Tap Barack & Michelle).

She told him to purchase a book to help with their education. It was about home made bombs.

So now you will attack their parenting skills. Congratulations, you reached a new low.

Perhaps the Obama's are teaching their children that material things just aren't as important as being with friends and family.

I did nothing, Barack is the one giving the interview.

If material things weren't important why have the party guest bring gifts?

Oh cbfan, when I give Birthday parties for my kids the guest aren't expected to bring gifts and it's says so on the invitation. I wouldn't want to exclude anyone or make someone feel bad for not having a gift.

Kestrel, they make a pretty cute family, don't they?

cbfan,

What they look like has no bearing, because Obama bases everything on appearances.

The comments he and his wife make give insight into the Character of the Candidate and his wife.

I see nothing in this blog that has anything to do with politics. Therefore, I will keep my comments non political.

They look like a happy family, don't they?

Just let them do this stuff man.
It's sad but the few non-regulars that visit These blogs need to see what the mindset is.

I'm not claiming to be better than anyone but how many pro McCain posts do you ever see? It's all anti Obama stuff.

...but I think when we give them a little extra rope they always do seem to know what to do with it.

It's surprising when the truth hurts the messenger is the one attacked.

So then this part was fact based?

"I guess the limits the Obama's want to impress on thier children is "Let Other Than Family Give You Things". Is this the way a U.S. Senator Should feel. So, Michelle will say: Barry if you need a new car, let the taxpayers give it to you. (Knuckle Tap Barack & Michelle)."

Yeah...

Ok.

Please...

That was a fact based conclusion.

I know Obama has a cult following that believes he is "The Liberal Immaculate Conception", but he has major flaws as a Deity and undeserving the worship he receives.

Yes and that is not at all biased.

Boy oh boy, in the reach to find something wrong with Obama you sure have stretched pretty far down into the garbage can, and not surprisngly you came up with another handful of useless trash!

Bravo! You should be proud of yourself for this load of nonsense.

For one thing if I'm bias it's because I'm not representing myself a journalist.

If he throws this out in a national magazine, If he expects the friends and neighbors to supply gifts for his children, it's a sign of arrogance. If he truly thought of the children he would nix the guest bringing gifts. Maybe just me but, I wouldn't want to exclude or hurt a child's feeling over a gift.

The problem with Obama and his cult following is they both believe the Madison Avenue Hype the campaign generates.

The truth must be effective for you attack me and not Obama's own words. Oh, I guess to disagree or find fault with Obama would be sacrilege

But you haven't found any fault. You may disagree with his approach to his personal life and the way he is raising his children, but that is just YOUR OPINION, and not a fault of his.

I just read your reply to another blog, you are determined to expose him? For what? Not buying birthday gifts? You would do better to bum rush him on stage and pull down his pants- now that would be exposing him.

I really wish just one anti-Obama blogger could come up with an adult conversation about him, or better yet explain why McCain is so much better. All I see is dreck, name calling, and lame attemts at charactor assassination.

Yes, I do have opinions not Talking points.

As I have said before "I AM AN INDEPENDENT" if I vote for McCain it will be to vote for the lessor of two evils.

Arrogance is an elitist trait that I find very repulsive, so my effort to expose Obama for his hubris attitude.
