IS OBAMA'S CAMPAIGN ONE OF COLOR?
This trip to visit the troops and appear Presidential may have far reaching complications in Obama’s message to represent all people and not just people of color as demonstrated in the (AP) Photos from Afghanistan above.
The United States Military consist of 36% minority troops of that minority 18% are African American. In the recent photos from Afghanistan over 70 to 90% of the troops in the photo opportunities are African American. The group photo taken in Afghanistan on the Basketball court with the troops behind him, makes a clear statement as to his constituency. The campaigns lack of control, to artificially adjust racial representation is a definite factor .
So, the question is where is all of Obama’s racially balanced support, could this be a factor in the general election? Is Obama’s Presidential bid doomed to the fate of Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton's run for the President? Maybe, the Obama Campaign is unable to control the photo opportunities to inject artificial diversity.
These question are legitimate questions with all the Media Hoopla toward the Obama campaign. The media has elevated Obama to “Rock Star Status” when they should be informing the American public as journalist, not surrogates for Obama. Are the American people allowing the News Media to dictate the choice of President, because it makes good copy?
We as American citizens have the responsibility to look past the glitz and glamour the Media bestows on a candidate, or lose our decision making power at the ballot box.
