GUNRIGHTS's Blog

by GUNRIGHTS from Texas

All we keep hearing about during this campaign is rumors, innuendo & the ilk.  I have an idea, let's all write the current candidates, our sitting President & all of Congress and ask the following:

What do you plan to do to secure our borders?

What do you plan to do about illegal aliens?

Why haven't Campean & Ramos been released?  Why were they convicted & jailed in the first place?  Why was a non-citizen provided more rights than these legal citizens?

What do you plan to do about the energy needs of Americans RIGHT NOW?

How many more private businesses do you expect the American taxpayer to bail out?  Why?

How much more of my money are you planning take?  Where are you planning to send it? Why?

Why have the illegals and other criminals been given superior rights over legal American taxpayers?  How do you plan to address this travesty?

What do you plan to do about so called sanctuary cities that are ignoring & outright breaking Federal laws?

What do you plan to do about the broken public education system in America?

How much aid do you plan to send to other countries?  Which ones?  Why?

How much of a raise will you vote yourself this year?  What have you done to deserve it?

This is a work in progress.  Just the beginning for me.  I plan to hand write this, sending originals to both campaigns & photocopies to President Bush & Congress.  My hope is a written letter, stamped & mailed will get more notice than an email or a computer generated letter.

I look forward to seeing other's input to add to my questions for our so called "representatives".  Probably need to send similar correspondence to my local and state "representatives" as well.

This is excellent, Gun. If enough people would participate, it might get their attention.

I'm very disappointed that illegal immigration has not been more of an issue this election year, but not at all surprised.

Very good post and these questions should be asked point blank and we want real answers not just fluff.

For any who are interested there is another blog, not on the front page that actually gives link to the actual stance of the candidates on issues.

The editing is not very good but the links & information contained are very good.

Who Cares? I have sent E-Mails to Hensarling, and Brown concerning my pet peeve. I get the standard response, "Thank you for your concerne". How many of you have gotten an actual "response" to anything you have questioned your government about? Very few, if any I suspect. Hell, I sent an E-Mail to a gentleman in Cannada asking a question about my personal clinical trial, he called me on the phone to discuss it. Our government is NOT going to hell in a handbasket, they are already there.

You're so right Iron. I've never gotten anything but the canned response, too. That's why I'm going to try a hand-written letter mailed through the USPS (hmmm maybe I should use UPS or Fedex to ensure they get it!).
