..... wondering since for the most part we only know each other through our short conversations and discussions on the fox blog.......
so i am thinking what it would be like to meet each other in person and have say a round table discussion. i think it would be very fascinating to meet face to face. there is so much you can share on a blog, but to sit face to face could be a lil strange at first. especially after all the once overs, and the hmmmmm, not what i pictured. i always thought if the morning show had us come in and discuss topics from the blog it would be rather fascinating. i had always stated from the beginning that a chat with chip and graham cracker , would make for some really interesting conversation. no i am not looking for a battle royal, but i always have loved a great debate. not to mention there are quite a few other characters on the board that are very intriguing. so what do you guys think . think this would be fun or is it better to just leave well enough alone?

Chip and I at a round table could be scary, methinks. Hehe...

methinks I agree with Chrissy, that could be very interesting!! :)

Chrissy,

I've wondered the same thing, but my idea of a meeting was more informal. I think your idea is more interesting. :)

Chrissy, You are like a mind reader. I have giving thought to an open invitation at my place for like June says informal chit chat. A few of us chat in a different forum and it works out pretty good. To meet face to face might take away some spunk some of us might have for each other now. Some of our views our so opposite. I find it hard to imagine a conversation with ??????, and I think I might wanna keep it that way.

I always wonder too...if I was walking down the street would I recognize any of you or vice wersa....I have to say, Dave I think with so many of us even with different views the conversation would still flow...and would be very facinating.
I for one have never had a hard time meeting and chatting with new people, I think thats why I find these boards so interesting. And there is always something that you can find incommon with even perfect strangers. And of course there is always that six degrees of seperation.

Hmmmmm....I think I know who you mean. I have to say, though, I can understand the concern. I mean, we really don't know who is behind their computers. However, it doesn't need to be in the studio. I mean, VB is always doing his stuff from the sidewalk.........

FoxFan67 read my blog view my photos
Sep 25, 2008 | 8:35 AM

We wouldn't even have to come in to the studio though....we could meet in some common area..
and why even involve the on air talent?
I just thought it would be interesting to see how it would go face to face....
There is always the Beacon Hill Studio ...just sit around have a cup o joe, and let the conversation flow from there ....

Very interesting idea. If not the station, somewhere very central, if there is such a place. We're pretty much spread out. I often wonder, when I'm communicating on this board with someone I know lives in my general area, if I've ever met them. It would be very interesting indeed.

Chip, if that's the case, I'd better not show!

By other forum, I'm guessing that means that chat room I haven't had time to check into. Still, if that's the case, I'm glad it's being used. A round table MIGHT be fun, if you could stand being seen in public with me. But it's gotta be an area where I have easy access to cheap coffee, or it could get ugly!

I have thought of this for some time now. I think it's a great idea! I think an informal, hello, nice to meet you meeting, over coffee, at a centrally located restaurant would be a great start. And, Maybe, we could extend an invitation to our friends at the FOX station? I'm with you, Chip--NO Starbucks. Actually, McDonald's just came out with their new McCafe--GREAT latte and mochas!!!! I actually like theirs better than DD.

Hell if I know, Okie...I like using English to order my coffee. I pity the poor folks at my local Dunkin's...I'm usually barely coherent when I stop there and they get it right anyway.

Chrissy, brand don't matter to me. As long as it ain't decaf. That stuff's EVIL!

Kayle, are McD's lattes better than their new coffee? I'm just not a fan of it. Don't know if it's the coffee they use, or how it's brewed, but I haven't noticed a difference between their old coffee and the new Newman's Own coffee.

jonsmom read my blog view my photos

Never liked Newman's Own coffee. I don't drink coffee once I've left my house. But I'm not known to be a coffee snob. I drink whatever is on sale. Drives my son nuts. He'd just as soon go out and pay a fortune for the DD's you can buy in the store. Not me. Doesn't matter. I'm just in it for the caffeine.

Jonsmom, as long as there's caffeine in what you buy to make at home, who cares? Of course, IF I could find an uber-caffeinated brand, I'd stick to that, but since I haven't, the store brand works just fine! I am known to buy coffee while out and about on occasion, but usually when I'm out on a really long trip.

Chrissy, sometimes the server's a bit weird. I've had it happen to me too...Give it some time, or set your blog to e-mail you replies.

Can you guys believe this. Of all the additions I have had in my life I never drank a cup of coffee. I just started drinking Ice Tea a couple of years go. I just drink water. We should all meet in the center of Faneuil Hall. Walk back and forth to we recognize each other. I think Chip and Marna will be a breeze. They are so distinctive. I'll wear a red rose in on the left side of my hair...

Finally someone got it!!! June I knew you would!

I'm with you Xan, I am not a fan of McDonalds coffee.

And Fenway..I am anything but distinctive, and yes very surprised you've never had a cup of coffee! Of course, I had never had ice coffee let alone heard of it til I moved to NE.

And all this talk about agreeing on coffee or tea...I think the bigger challenge will be coordinating schedules. I know mine is very tight for time.

Okie, I got it. I'm just making a point here! :-P (And I can't figure out what's so special about the Newman's Own coffee...Tastes like the same coffee the local McD's had before!)

Dave, no coffee? Wow! And you kinda forgot to put me on the distinctive list. 7 out of 9 tattoos are now posted, including the 2 that are visible!

Oh yeah, schedules. I don't have a set one, let's just leave it at I almost never have much time these days.

Okie, that commercial annoys me a bit, of course I'd get it!!! :)

Fenway, you've never had coffee?? Oh God! I'd die without it. I think I'd go into convulsions. Mind you, I only drink one cup a day, but I NEED that cup. My favorite is the Caramel Iced Latte from Dunkin', but I limit myself on those. At $3.49 a pop, they are not cheap!

I agree I bet the big challenge would be co ordinating schedules...I work from home but spend all afternoon running three kids around.
( a sec to brag, I know its not much but my son's football team won thier 2nd game in a row)
As for coffee....I never drank it until my 2nd pregnancy...now I cant stop and its Marylou' s for me!!! mmmmmmm sipping one now

Graham,

It's very annoying. The same thing happens to me all the time. I get so mad and I have no idea why it happens.

Chrissy,
Pocket is doing ok. He was groggy last night but by 3am (so nice) he was on my chest purring up a storm and biting my nose. Nothing like fish breath to wake you up, LOL. Thank you for asking.

Congratulations on your son's second win! A winning season has to start with 1 game, then 2 and so on. He's on his way!!! I hope he's having a great time!

I'm all up for a face-to-face roundtable whenever!!!! :)

It's been a while since I've gotten comments, Chrissy, but if I remember correctly, it does appear.

June, I love the mocha iced latte from DD. But, they cost $$, so I'm rarely in DD buying one myself! (Oh, did you get that episode I e-mailed you?)

And, if you want a round table that isn't the Fox boards but isn't face-to-face, there's always http://www.bloggersanonymous.bravehost.com

OK-Now it's my comments that aren't being posted! Not that they were of any great importance, but... All I said was that the new lattes at McD's really are very very good! There was a grand re-opening of one not far from us, so they were having a special all week from 7am-7pm --a free small latte or mocha. Excellent. I'm not all that crazy over their regular coffee, but these are very good.

Btw, Chrissy, I am still very much interested in an informal get-together. I would truly love to meet so many of you. It would be great to put a face with a name.

Are any of you people parents? What would you tell your kid to do? I'm far from anti-social but I have enough real life friends. Meeting people off of the internet is frowned upon by most law enforcement officials. While the idea is entertaining, to act on it would be juvenile. JMO

Happy...I do no think any of us had the intentionof meeting up in a dark alleyway or something along that effect. As GC said, a public meeting place would be fine.
I think it is fine to meet new people, I don not find that juvenille at all. Not to mention I have 2 close friends that met their spouses off the internet and both have beautiful families, not to mention they seem more stable than some of the couples I know that have been together since high school.
