This is hilarious!
From a Socialite's Life:
So, remember this past weekend when Jessica Simpson's presence threw off her boyfriend Tony Romo's game intensity and he had the worst football game of his life? If you'll recall, Vapid Velma was wearing a pink version of her boyfriend Romo's jersey. It made her an excellent sniper target, and I'm not sure why no one took the shot. Well, at the time, fellow Dallas Cowboy Terrell Owens said that "Right now, Jessica Simpson is not a fan favorite -- in this locker room or in Texas Stadium. With everything that has happened, obviously with the way Tony played and the comparison between her and Carrie Underwood, I think a lot of people feel she has taken his focus away." Well, Papa Joe Simpson must have gotten his raging frosted tip dad manager queen gang together and pulled a drive-by on Owens' mansion in Mazda Miatas. Because now he's singin' a different tune. Does that sound like he as kidding? He says he was. Owens is backpedaling and is now telling reporters that "he [Romo] had a bad game. I don't think she had anything to do with it. We lost as a team." He also says that he thinks Jessica was only there to support Tony, and not be the camera BLEEP that we know she is. Seriously, did Papa Joe threaten to ban Terrell from appearing in one of Jessica's Pizza Hut commercials?

From E! Online:
Football player Terrell Owens has never been known for his subtlety, so maybe his message to Jessica Simpson should come as no surprise but...dayum!
"Right now, Jessica Simpson is not a fan favorite—in this locker room or in Texas Stadium," T.O. told reporters on Wednesday.
"With everything that has happened, obviously with the way Tony played and the comparison between her and Underwood, I think a lot of people feel she has taken his focus away," says Owens. "Other than that, she was high on my list until last week."
"Oh, I got a message for her when we make the playoffs. Just stay tuned."
SO, what do you guys think his playoff message to Jess is?

Excerpt taken from pinkisthenewblog.com:
Jessica Simpson was certainly as glamorous as any Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Sunday night, with her perfectly coiffed hair and miniature Tony Romo jersey emblazoned with a pink number 9. But she wasn't exactly a good luck charm. Her new boyfriend struggled all game, throwing three interceptions and fumbling the ball twice as his heavily favored Cowboys lost to the Philadelphia Eagles 10-6. At one point, the network even showed a montage of Simpson, 27, spliced with shots of Romo's bad throws. As commentator Joe Buck noted, "It's never easy to play in front of your girlfriend." That seems especially true for Romo. The 27-year-old Pro-Bowler ended the game with a quarterback rating of just 22.2 – that's the worst ever in his entire career. (In comparison, his average rating this year is over 100.) His previous low? Last December, when then-girlfriend Carrie Underwood was in the stands.

Vick Attorney Statement:
In response to reaching a plea agreement with federal prosecutor, Michael Vick's lead attorney Billy Martin issued the following statement Monday:
After consulting with his family over the weekend. Michael Vick ask that I announce that he has reached an agreement with Federal prosecutors regarding the charges pending against him.
Mr. Vick has agreed to enter a plea of Guilty to those charges and to accept full responsibility for his actions and the mistakes he has made.
Michael wishes to apologizes again to everyone who has been hurt by this matter.
The legal team and Mr. Vick will appear in court in Richmond on August 27th.

Falcon's Statement:
"We are certainly troubled with the news today concerning Michael Vick's guilty plea to federal charges. It is our understanding that the terms of Michael's plea will not be available until next Monday, August 27. Additionally, Commissioner Goodell has asked us not to take any action until he has completed his own review of Michael's situation. Accordingly, we will have no further comment until that time."
NFL Statement:
"We are aware of Michael Vick's decision to enter a guilty plea to the federal charges against him and accept responsibility for his conduct. We totally condemn the conduct outlined in the charges, which is inconsistent with what Michael Vick previously told both our office and the Falcons. We will conclude our own review under the league's personal conduct policy as soon as possible. In the meantime, we have asked the Falcons to continue to refrain from taking action pending a decision by the commissioner."

What do you guys think? How should the NFL handle the situation? Should Mike Vick ever be able to play ball again? Do you think any team will even want him after all this?

I hear Nike still plans to release his shoe line next month.
Perhaps they should market them as K9 Killer Kicks.

If Paris Hilton can go to jail for driving on a suspended license, Mike Vick should go to jail for drowning, hanging, electrocuting and shooting numerous dogs.
I mean, seriously, he is one sick puppy(pun intended).
Falcons fans are standing by Vick but let's be honest, if he is executing dogs that did not do well in testing sessions...perhaps the Falcons should execute Vick b/c I'm not so sure his performance matches his expectations either.
And to say he didn't know what was going on? Puh-leaze!
Actually, I believe him.
Really, I do.
Just like I believe Barry Bonds didn't know they were giving him steroids.
Somebody should pay for this Canine House of Horrors(Thanks for that line, Randy Travis).
And I say Ron Mexico is the man.

OMG! I don' t even like basketball - which is quite odd considering I'm from Indiana - but I was GLUED to the TV during that Winthrop/ND game. I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I'm so excited for my Winthrop Eagles. Congrats and much love to Coach Marshall and the guys. Keep it up. Hopefully, now when people ask where I went to school and I answer "Winthrop" they will have heard of it!
