I just read this article about how Coca Cola is using some hybrid vehicles for distribution purposes. Four hybrid-electric trucks to be exact. The trucks cost the company $48,000 more than the other $70,000 nonhybrid vehicles of the same size.

I commend Coca Cola for investing that extra money to help cut back on gas use and pollution emission. Though it is a very small amount of their large fleet, just think of the positive effects we would see if every company did the same. I hope other companies will follow this lead.

On another note, I read another recent article on Coca Cola's slogan for their Olympic advertising. "LIVE OLYMPICS." The article discussed how there is a feeling of pride, peace and teamwork surrounding the Olympic games and that we should keep that Olympic feeling with us.

I'm not sure Coca Cola gives me that Olympic feeling, but I think it's a pretty decent tag.

What do you think?

Putting the Olympics in a communist country that has a blatant disregard for human rights is just the liberal’s way of thumbing their nose at freedom.

Then it is also saying it is Ok to kill people that do not believe they should remain slaves all of their lives and be killed for not marching lock step with a failing communist doctrine of the liberal left.

I will not support the Olympics in anyway and if I see it on TV I will just switch to another channel or plug in a DVD if nothing else is on.

Nor will I ever support any liberal politicians that want to enforce those same failed communist and social policies on Americans such as Barak Obama wants.

I would hope all American athletes would boycott the Olympics but I know it is probably the only job they have right now so even they are probably forced to do something they do not want to do just as the Chinese people have had to do for centuries.

Chinese athletes that fail or do not make a medal of course have it worse when they get back home and are beat and jailed by their local officials for failing.

Now I wonder when that will be the same policy for American athletes also when I see a man running for president that seems to ignore all of those facts and blatantly lies about what he is really about on a daily basis.

As far as Coca Cola bragging about buying a couple of hybrid trucks when they have a bunch of smoking beat up trucks by the millions all over the roads today that are driven by obvious idiots that just does not count for much in my history books at all.

I don't think Coca Cola was actually bragging. It was just a tiny article I read in a paper. But maybe they had bragged in a PR and that sparked the news entry. Who knows.

I wasn't expecting the Olympic rant(b/c I was merely talking about an ad slogan) but I appreciate the comments and your opinion.

It's a shame that Coca Cola would invest in vehicles that produce more pollution that a Hummer. Google a little and check out the process for the batteries involved in hybrid vehicles. The pollution involved in producing and shipping the batteries alone is more than 300,000 miles on a Hummer would produce. Hybrids are just an ad campaign to make people feel good that simply isn't true.
