In an I-Team follow-up story to Dwayne Green of  Maximus Investment group, we told you he had new businesses and a new nickname posted on YouTube.   He pitched one of them in a broadcast called  "Women are Stupid."

Since our story someone removed "Women Are Stupid" from YouTube.  Well, bloggers thanks for letting me know.  We have our own copy.

For those of you just jumping in, Dwayne Green is accused by many of his former clients of promising them he'd help them save their homes from foreclosure for $500.  Guess what?  They say they paid and he disappeared.   There is now a warrant for his arrest in DeKalb County.

Listen in to how he pitches his new business idea to women:

MAYBE THIS IS TARGETING THE WOMEN WHO HAVE 3-4 KIDS AND NO HUSBAND AND NO JOB??? I FEEL SORRY FOR THEM ACTUALLY HAVING TO MAKE A HOUSE PAYMENT!! GOD FORBID THEY WOULD HAVE TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR INDISCRIMINATE BREEDING & MAYBE SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES???

Here are the facts: every person I had in my stories paid their mortgages until they either got sick or lost their job. People get down on their luck sometimes. One lady couldn't keep up after a divorce. Not one of them wanted to bail on their responsibility. They simply were looking to negotiate with their banks to pay the arrearages.
I wonder why you are making an assumption that these women have a boatload of children without husbands? I just can't imagine anywhere in that story where I mentioned indiscriminate breeding.

Because some people like to add their .02 based mostly on ASSumption of someones given situation. Then again....if one has been making mortgage payments for 30 years already, they either have more than one home...or....

I DONT THINK ANYONE IS WHINING, ELF! I THINK THE STORY IS ABOUT SOMEONE OUT THERE CONNING PEOPLE, PARTICULARLY WOMEN OUT OF MONEY AND NOT FOLLOWING THROUGH WITH THEIR END OF THE DEAL!

I dont think you would be as bold in your assumptions if this had happened to you, would you?

I think when people are in a desperate situation do desperate things to get out of them. Unfortunately, they were taken for a ride. Now I know you are concentrating your story on those who actually seem to want to do the right the thing but are just looking for a break. However, we all know there are those out there that spend thier ever waking moment trying to 'scam' their way out of some kind of responsibility that we all know that is THIERS ALONE. I think that's what SANTAS_ELF was concentrating on. We all know those kind of people are out there however, I don't believe your story is about "THOSE" type of people. Be it through ignorance, gullability or desperation do some of these people fall victim to such a scam is the point. They are victims of SOMEONE else's diabolicle ambitions that these people fell victim to.

In short, (too late for that now isn't it?) The man needs to be horse stomped and put UNDER the JAIL. Better yet, a manual labor job and everything he makes to go back to his victims until paid in full. Not just $500.00 but enough for the victim to put a decent down payment on a house comparable to the one they had before.

Cromagnon:

You're right. There are many, many irresponsible FORMER homeowners who got into risky mortgages. I mean, I've always looked at those ARM loans for the savvy buyer not the first-time home buyer.

Speaking generally about the mortgage crisis, there is plenty of blame to spread around.

thatlisagirl, i think you are so right about santas_elf. There are a lot of people out there that want to take the easy way out or wants everything handed to them. But thats NOT everybody. We are very hard working people and we hit a rough spot when my daughter got very sick! We spent alot of time and money on doctors. We went through our SAVINGS. We came really close to losing everything. Thank GOD she got better and we pulled through it. We were so desperate we would have done anything to keep the home we lived in. Can anyone say that we didn't deserve a little help? YOU DONT KNOW HOW IT FEELS UNTIL YOU LIVE THROUGH SOMETHING LILE THAT. santashelper really needs to quit judging people that they don't know. Everyone's situation is different. Good people make mistakes too. I believe in "what goes around comes around" santashelper will see that one day. And i agree he should have to do something to repay the families he scammed from. Thats the least that should happen. That horse stomping sounds great!

I never liked ARM's just because of the fact the rates could change unpredictably. Naaa, I'll go fixed rate everytime. Because my GOOD credit let's me! If you want to gamble, goto Vegas or the Dog races...don't gamble with your home or for that matter ..your most valuable investment!

These folks are all around me, they're up the street & down the street, the homes were built for them specifically by cheap illegal alien labor. The homes arent nearly worth the price but who cares? they are designed to take advantage of the system...they are built for the person who will not last more than 6 months, then they will be gone. The homebuyer knows dam well he cant afford house payments but WHAT TH HELL, he'll get a free ride...AND OH YEAH...IM SUPPOSED TO FEEL SORRY FOR THIS PERSON??? BLEEP!!!

elf....you seem characterize people with 2 cookie cutters...you and them...theres more to it than that, and i think you know that.

we do agree about the quality of homes being built to take advantage of the system and how they are built so cheap, but the mortgage brokers are supposed to fit the home to the income, and if they dont fit, then they cant have it...but they dont do that, do they? there should be a dual responsibility on the mortgage broker that doctored the paperwork along with the mortgagee- if the mortgage goes into foreclosure, the broker should have to pay a penalty...that would get their attention and follow the rules from here on out.

I'm not as serious as I look on TV. I love to laugh even if it's at my expense. I'm just not very PC. My friends would describe me as "black and white." Not a lot of gray. My co-workers call me Elaine from Seinfeld. I'm generally disheveled and have a messy car. I have really curly hair, but the station doesn't like it that way. I love my husband because he's funny. I also love red wine, rare steak, dark chocolate and strong coffee. I'm Type A, so of course, I wish I were smarter.
