Thanks to all of you who asked after me the last week and a half.  My father had some emergency surgery and I was at home with my family.  I think this was the first time in a few years that we have all been in the same place at the same time. We were only allowed to see him for a few minutes every 2 hours and it seemed that time was bending faster and slower all at the same time.  It took forever for 2 hours to pass but then before you knew it, the last visit of the day was already over.  I'll tell you this though, sitting in a waiting room for 12+ hours every day can make you very restless.  So, I made 3 trips to Jo-Ann and crocheted dishcloths, and hot pads, and even a giant yellow coffee mug to hold stuff on the kitchen counter.  I was handing them out all around.  Just needed to DO SOMETHING.  You know what I mean.  It was so difficult to leave but it is good to be back and busy.  I really appreciate all the e-mails and messages.

You guys are the best.

If we're the best, Cheryl, it's only because *you* are the best. Glad you're back, and hope your dad gets well soon.

It is great to see family, but never under those cirumstances. My father in law died of cancer back in late February and of course EVERYONE was at the hospital the entire time he was there, and the days leading up to and after the funeral, a lot of family stuck around and it was great to see them. Now, almost 3 months later I haven't seen 98% of the family that came around in February. I guess it takes a tragedy to have a family reunion sometimes, as sad as it is. I totally understand about the need to keep busy, to keep your brain pre-occupied.....glad you are back on the air. I have to get my daily dose of Good Day!

Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers. My dad passed away on May 16th. He was a great Dad and he lived a good, long life. I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate your messages.
