Reading some of these comments about Brett Farve's retirement is amusing. Some people think he is a "coward" and others think the Packers organization is an "evil empire" for not doing everything to sign him. Some people are saying they will no longer support the team because of it. Excuses are being made and accusations are being thrown. What it comes down to though is that based on Brett Farve's own words he is tired. He has been doing this 17 years. I think the man is entitled to stop. To go out a winner. How many times have you seen sports starts go way past their time? Would you really want that for Farve and the Packers? What happens if he came back and next year had a bad season? Injuries or whatever?

If you are truly a Packers fan you will support Brett Farve's decision. Wish him well and support the team next year with a new quarterback. Before being overly critical of the "new guy" just remember how Farve started out.

People need to grow up!!!!

I wish Favre would have played longer, but I respect him retiring. He is going out on top!

When I heard his call to ESPN it made it all clear. He is right, the fans would expect and , he would want, to only play another year if it meant a Super Bowl. I will always watch my Packers, as I always have. Even during the Randy Wright years. (ouch)
I am sure Brett will come back to see us.
He loved Wisconsin and the fans just as much as we love him.
I don't blame Ted Thompson, Mike or anyone else.
Brett deserves a happy retirement and time with his beautiful family. We have had a great run with him and I am sure we'll have many more great years. Afterall, WE are THEE Packers.

tell me something stupid.what questions did sports fan ask me.all she did was bi tch about was my grammer.becouse she did not like what i said about farve.i did not know we are being graded for what we write or how we write it.i wonder if she grades text messages also.nothing i have writen was hard to read unless your a packer fan cheese head like sport fan.im old enough to be her dad.if she hates the way i write thats her problem.i have seen some of her blogs and her grammer at times is not much better and as for her spelling she to has miss spelled a few.and as for me looking for attention dont flatter your self i dont need that kind of attention even from a wearido like your self.

Bgddy0061 you are responding to comments posted on a different thread. No one has said anything to you on this thread. Maybe go and put your response back on the correct thread.

Back on topic. This was Farve's decision. I wish him well. I thought it was classy of Aaron Rodgers not to want to comment yet. He said it is "Brett's time".

I wish Brett well. It was sad to see the news confrence today. Life goes on. I have faith in the Packers. I am looking forward for a nother football season. I met Brett five years ago and got to hug him. I also got to see Regie White that same day and I gave him a hug also. I love all the packers. God bless all the packers.

I have been told that I am very opinionated. Not necessarily true but I am not afraid to speak my mind. I am very much anti "sheeple" and believe that people need to think and question why. I do not believe in blind faith or blindly following anything without question (including but not limited to religion and politics).
