You are making it harder and harder to watch Good Day NY.  I love Rosanna, but you made a very big mistake not renewing Jodi Applegate.

The new management crew has gotten rid of too many of the reporters that people tune in for.  You made a very big mistake not renewing Jodi and taking Rosanna off of the 10:00 new hour.

I think it is time for the station to get rid of the management team.  Sorry guys, you do not know what you are doing.  When you have a good thing you keep it and make it better around it.  In this case Jodi was your good thing!

My very favorite season of the year is the Fall.  I love the clean brisk feel to the air, the almost scent of - dare I say it - SNOW. The excitement of the upcoming holidays.   The clear cool days, the ever brighter sun, the wind, the beautiful colors of the Fall season are like gold gems shinning, falling, drifting down on us and all around us.  It is a cozy, beautiful, season giving us the full colors of Mother Nature before going to sleep for the winter, giving us the bounty of the earth in foods, colors, warm feelings, family, friends, holidays - it is just a beautiful season. I guess the Fall is my color season I love to decorate my house for the fall.  Fall is my favorite - what is yours?

Michael Savage, has assulted the children plagued by the Autism problems of today.  He should be fired.  Out and out fired.  This is an attack on children - how dare he make comments such as he did.  He should be ashamed of himself and an apology is not going to do justice to the issue or the kids.  This is a huge issue that still is not being addressed correctly. Feeling a little too comfortable with your status in life or maybe not a very happy person to lash out and attack children who have to deal with this their whole lives.

Leave the poor girl alone already.  Do we not remember Brooke Shields back in the day when she was a model and actress with the billboard - "nothing comes between me and my Calvin, or blue lagoon.  This is not to pick on Brook I LOVE HER, but alright already.  I think this picture is over the line.  I believe she realizes that she should not have done this type of pose - enough is enough.  Leave her alone.

After writing up a shorter info message for myself I started thinking about days gone by and all the nice times we had that a lot of our children are missing out on.

Remember when we would play freeze tag outside in the spring and summer months, or soft ball, or checkers in the park.  Waiting for the ice cream "man" after dinner - our guy was named Stevie.

Games played on our front steps - school, magic man, stoop ball.  The trips during the summer of going to the Pool Club, packing up the lunch to bring over, getting our "spot" so my Mom was near her friends, trying not to forget your locker key or your Pool Club Pass.

Looking for a tree to stand under to cool off and not running into an air conditioned house..... standing outside your house or apartment building waiting for your parents while a warm summer breeze runs around your body.... or, going to the beach and staying until very, very late.  Playing in the hallway of your building during the warm months when it was raining on the agreement that you would be very, very good.....

How about going to church on an early summer Sunday and only the windows were open with a fan going...... remember the feelings of comfort being in your own neighborhood surrounded by so many people you knew and who would tell on you if you misbehaved.....

What do you remember from your childhood ? ? ?

I have been so disgusted lately, notwithstanding the loss of my pet and all, it just seems so depressing.  Everything goes up - except your salary - yet you work hard and they want you to work even harder with no compensation whatsoever.  Both my husband and myself just feel like packing-up and moving somewhere else?  But where???  I think that the month of February is in itself a dark, cold, hard and depressing month which has something to do with this particular time of the year.  Is it just me or is it February????  I would be very interested to know how everyone else is feeling.  Products we buy are more and more unsafe for us and especially the kids,  the cost for anything today is through the roof, where are we headed????

A very exciting start to the year for most of us with the Giants winning the Superbowl - yeah, go Giants -  and the political race.  Unfortunately, February started very sad for us, we lost our pet Sassy Girl.  A slightly older version of my avatar.  A loving, beautiful American Eskimo whom we thankfully received from the Animal Haven Rescue Center.  She came to us a bit more than scuffed-up but full of total unconditional love. I believe that she totally understood me as I did her - my special friend.  We should all be so lucky to have a pet such as she, just the best.   I love her and will miss her dearly.

HAPPY NEW YEAR - hopefully we can start the new year off on the right foot.  Maybe keep to that diet you keep promising to stay on, be a little nicer to people in general and smile. Smiling is infectious.  If you are a happy person in general more power to you.  If not, make the tiny, tiny effort to at least smile. Keep at it if you have to believe me it would really be a much better world if everyone just smiled at each other.  It doesn't hurt, it doesn't cost anything, and it will even make you feel better.  SMILE!

I have not had the chance to write something new and exciting lately, and, as we can see neither have the daily papers.

I do not read the News or the Post, I try to read the NY Times.  I am very tired to the same funky nonsence over and over in the papers.

Either we are following some starlette who hasn't done a day's work in her life,  or the same *!*!*  about someone's drug problems, etc.

Today the front pages are full of a lunatic's ranting to see places that are reserved for reverence.  There is no reverence in today's front pager.  I will not even grant him the courtesy of naming him.

We should NOT let him speak here, we should NOT let him near the WTC to rub it in our faces, and he DOES NOT have the Freedmon of Speech as an American Citizen would have.

He can NOT just come here and DO WHAT HE WANTS, he has that right on his own turf.  This is our turf - America - and Americans do not want him here, do not want him to speak, do not want him to see.

He will not learn anything from seeing our WTC - he will not believe differently after speaking, he is spreading his evilness into our air, our soil, our souls........

Anyway just very happy about this turn of events the New Jack station did not work out so back in with the DooWhop Station - I hope. Hope some others are happy as well - lots and lots of you.

Going GREEN - I trully understand why we should all be going green, do you????  We are a very selfish, wasteful society and really need to pull the plug on all the waste.  Every little thing we do NOW - even if it is just changing your light bulbs - will make a difference.  Little by little go GREEN - little by little don't just throw things away.  If we all do one thing each, per day, before you know it WE HAVE ALL MADE A DIFFERENCE.  Why don't we start with using burlap bags to bring with us when we shop - I DO -  its a start.  I was brought up hearing four very important words "waste not, want not"  and believe me I do try very hard not to waste anything. Not just because of the money, but, it really is a sin to waste anything. Be mindful of waste, donate clothing and furniture equipment, etc., and go GREEN.  I will be needing a new roof in a year or so and I am looking into the new EcoRoofing..... In the meantime, shut-off DVDs and appliances not in use or they don't work, don't turn-on evey light in your house just because you can,  stop having junk mail sent to you, think Green, GO GREEN, BE GREEN.....

When I wall in from work I have three sets of eyes looking at me with the same question in their eyes - whats for dinner Mom??????

Two sets belong to the four-legged, furry type and their dinners are easy, give a little variety to the cat, and the dog has a special diet, so there, I am done...... the remaining set of georgeous blue eyes belong to my husband and he wants a nice balanced meal - and of course, something different.  Here  is a sample..............

It helps if you make one or two extra dishes on the weekends or even extra vegies.....

Macaroni with sauce reheated in a pan with a little bit of butter (or whatever you prefer) you mix in some grated Italian cheese, maybe even a little mozzarella and some peas, a small onion sliced thin, etc.  simmer on a low light with the cover 20 minutes or so, until hot.  Salt and pepper to taste add a nice slice of Italian bread (or two) a salid and DINNER IS READY.   Some of you may not want the onion - no prob, leave it out.....

Or serve with sliced turkey or roast beef on the side (macarone can be with or without the veggie) brown gravy for the meat is easy as 1-2-3.....if you are interested blog me........ thanks.....happy Puerto Rican day to all my friends from PR!!!!!!!!!
