Ok, i just had to put my 2 cents in.
I'm not supporting Vick because I have MORALS.. I have a Pitt Bull myself, and to all those people who think they're purely child killers and that it's not a big deal to treat Pitts that way, you're just as evil as Vick. And just for the record, we don't treat mass murderers and rapists the way he treated those dogs. Sadly, most of the people that own Pitt Bulls have them for protection, and dont treat them like the family pet, but treat them like wild animals. My Pitt wouldn't hurt anyone, unless they were breaking into my house, and that's how i trained him.
As for Vick, he knew what he was doing, and still went through with it. HE funded it, it was at HIS house, he had plenty of opportunity to say "Look, this might ruin my career if i get caught, so lets end this business now" but he didn't. He's a moron, and deserves everything he gets (providing justice prevails!)
It wasn't an accident; he didn't "make a mistake". He didn't say to his buddy "oh, oopss, that dog just drowned", "oh no, that dog was accidentally electrocuted" It doesn't work like that. He and his friends purposely made those dogs suffer for their own sadistic enjoyment. And anyone that gets pleasure out of watching an animal or human suffer is sick, and needs some kind of mental rehabilitation.
If it was just some regular person, they would be facing maximum time in jail, maximum fines, and no one would ever want to hire them again. And that’s just the way it should be. Sadly, Vick IS getting a break, because he can afford a good lawyer, and because he is who he is.
I'm so sick of everyone playing the race card... thinking because he's black he's being treat this way. It's because he's a COLD HEARTED DOG MURDERER that he's being treated this way. If it was David Beckham, he'd be getting the EXACT same treatment.
I don't care if he never plays football again, keep on boo hoo'ing about how football is never going to be the same again, see how far that gets you.
At the end of the day it doesn't matter what any of us write about him, its all up to the judges, and hopefully they have some morals too.
