The Associated Press reported Wednesday that Chicago businessman Antoin "Tony" Rezko, 52, was convicted Wednesday of fraud, money laundering and aiding and abetting bribery in a plot to squeeze illegal payoffs out of firms hoping to do business with the state.

He had posted eight million dollars bond to remain at large during the trial, but he was taken into Federal Custody and swept off the Federal Prison as soon as the Verdict was read.

In the course of the trial testimony revealed details of all-night drug parties involving the government's star witness and allegations that Gov. Rod Blagojevich personally discussed a state job for a campaign contributor.

All through this process, there has been a focus on the relationship between Barack Obama and Rezko.  Obama has never been directly tied to the corruption and scandal unearthed by the investigations and allegations, but they have been closely associated from the inception of Obama's political career.  Rezko raised money for Obama's Illinois campaigns, as well as contributing to his current Presidential bid, which he had gleefully accepted, and was closely involved in Real Estate dealings with the Senator.

Of necessity and political expedience, if that be to his credit, Senator Obama has donated $150,000 of the monies known to be contributed by Rezko to charity.

One can just look at Senator Obama to lose all doubt that he is slick and smooth. In fact, he just may be as slick and smooth as Willie C and his defeated partner in crime. (my well considered opinion)

What is not opinion is some of the STUFF that has issued from the lips of Michelle Obama, the lovely lady who wants to be our First Lady. That woman is harsh and hard. She makes Hillary Clinton look like a Brownie Scout.

That leads me to another opinion: I believe Michelle's beliefs and desires are the real reason that the Obama Family joined and has maintained membership in Jeremiah Wright's Congregation all of these years. Only “wolves in sheep's clothing” could be comfortable there. Wright reads four words from the Bible, and screams ten words to belie what he just read. Barack and Michelle read from their Political Play Book that they want to promote Unity in America, but their lives scream of their desire for revenge on “rich” white folks and . . . Black Supremacy.

Sorry, Arky, but any facts related to Obama's questionable past are banned from this site.

Also, since you have blasphemed against America's savior, it is my duty to call you a racist.

(Good to see your face in the place, my friend! Hope things are well in eff-ell-ay).

Thanks, Flash!  I just couldn't resist doing this'n up when I saw it released on AP last night.

Man, I've heard so many Black Commentators dissin' this guy, and I never trusted him at all, and I've been labelled "Blue Eyed Soul."

But still, there remain a lot of die hards that will lick his boots.

Yes, our "humble man of the people" bought his 1.65 MILLION $$$ home for 300K under value because of his relationship w/Rezko, whose wife (yea, right, it's his wife's $$$, not his-can you say tax dodger?) bought adjacent property to Obama's, and then he paid her 104K for a little strip "to make his yard bigger"! Wow! Did he learn this stuff from Harry Reid?

A little wierd, but did you catch the Rocky today, and the "centerfold" article titled, "Clinton fans need time to grieve"? Did you notice that on the 2nd page, is the part "...Time to Grieve" , and a picture of Obama, looking quite MLK like, and a collection of real beauts underneath working on his campaign? Time to grieve is right, if this guy is elected- even my teenager said, "Mom, are those the people who support Obama? Do we want THEM running the country?" From the mouths of babes.

Good to know that there's hope for the future, RM. It sounds as though your wise teen already knew the answer to that question.

The only face that Americans need to see is that of Reverend Wright, the same face that B. Hussein has been seeing for the last 20 years (if YouTube hasn't censored all of his "sermons" by now).

Young people need to pull themselves away from MTV and wake up to the danger that modern liberals pose to the thread of American society.

They aren't going to learn of the threat from our schools, it is up to us to inform them.

Hi,GF! Yes, my son has a good BS detector! More than anything, that's what we need to teach our kids- how to think for themselves. They certainly do not get that in public school- I had to bust a well thought of 3rd grade teacher's chops during the 2000 presidential campaign after I caught her literally hate mongering about Bush to the class, in the hallway, for pete's sake! Then, in 2004, his 6th grade teacher did a "Presidential Election" to "teach" the kids, and when they elected Bush, she said, "Well, I hope the real election doesn't turn out that way, for your sakes". Sigh. My husband loves politics and history, and I read the paper with him, and have him watch different news venues- he comes to very reasonable conclusions. We'll see what college does- my husband came out of UCD a flippin Marxist, but now he's a card carrying Republican- I guess that's what happens when you work hard and make your own way!

I feel your pain, Ray's Mom. My daughter was so sick of hearing one particular teacher bash on Bush she called his class "Socialism Studies". As parents we have the right (I think of it as an obligation) to sit in our children's classrooms and listen to what they're being taught (or brainwashed).

I like to wear my "Old School Conservative" shirt on those days. Has a picture of Reagan on it.

Hey, Arky: If you have a spare moment, would you share the secret of putting a picture onto a comment? I'd be forever grateful.
