Can someone enlighten me on the new gun laws?  Anyone can carry w/ a permit?  You can bring them into a restaurant but not a club or any venue that serves alcohol? Yet some restaurants serve alcohol.  What little I know it seems to be some grey area that need to be interpreted.  Interesting that there seems to be more gun related stories since that law was passed. I hope the state is collecting data for a statistical analysis in a year how much gun related crimes have increased since that law went into effect.

It wouldn't be so confusing if the government actually abided by the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution.

Your now allowed to carry into private establishments that serve alcohol. primarily restaraunts. this is the only addition to the old law. Establishments can still denie access by way of posting/ personnel choice. An i haven't heard of any crime hikes personally.

if they do a study, my bet is rates go down. the more (licensed, responsible) people who carry, the fewer potential vics.

I don't think they will fluctuate at all. The permit holder should only brandish his/her weapon if they are envolved in the altercation. By default they will be less likely becuase of insueing letigation and hence will elude these environments/situations.
