O.K.  I tell a tale.  But I did make you look.  *wink*

But hey, think about it.  Seriously!

What do the Atlanta Falcons need more than anything, besides another chance in the Superbowl Championship?

Answer:  PRIMETIME EXPOSURE.

This team has been getting beat up, both on and off the field.  And so, who can turn this team around and really give them the zip that they need?

Answer:  Deion "Primetime" Sanders

But why Deion?

Well, he use to be an Atlanta Falcon.  He has played in the Superbowl.  And Deion always brings a winning attitude.  But can he coach?

Well, that would depend on the opportunity that might be presented to him.  I guess no one has never asked the man.

Does anyone know Arthur Blank's personal number?

Is Micheal Vick Getting A Raw Deal?

Considering the facts, if Michael Vick didn't have the celebritihood of being a professional football player, would he be getting the same kind of treatment that he's getting for dog fighting?

I think that Vick is getting a raw deal.  And most of the so-called justice really stems from people's emotions.  I mean, let's be very realistic and completely clear.  The justice system is out to ruin Michael Vick.  Not only his name sake, but also his character.  But at the end of the day, you've got to ask yourself this one question.  "Does the punishment fit the crime?"

O.K. Fighting dogs is a terrible gambling circuit.  And anyone who participates in it, should be treated as a criminal.  However, dogs are not people.  They are great companions and bring a lot of stability to people's lives.  But dogs are not human.  And no matter how mad society wants to be with and at Michael Vick, he is human, regardless of the decisions he has made.

Did he know better?  Well, that's a matter of opinion.  But Michael Vick is still a young man.  And to treat him with such hostility doesn't really fit the crimes that he committed.  I mean, let's not be hypocrites and point fingers, without taking a closer look at our own lives.

How many of you have ever ran over an animal, be it a dog or a cat, a squirrel or even a rabbit?  Did you stop to see what you ran over, or did you continue on your journey?  But I guess that's not the same as dog fighting.  However, it's still cruelty to animals.

And speaking of cruelty to animals, how many of you have ever allowed for your dogs to run loose, in the community, knowing full well that they are not on a lease?  And then have the nerve and audacity to say, "Don't worry!  My dog doesn't bite!"  Come on, now.  Let's be realistic.

Michael Vick is losing his entire fortune and he didn't even shoot anyone.  One of the reasons why he probably turned himself in and start serving his sentence is because he has no place else to go.  And with all of the fines and legal fees, mounted up against him, there's no way he's going to be able to pay all of his debts, unless he plays football again.  And there's no real indication if that will ever happen.

So, that just leaves the man ruined.  But for what?  Dog fighting?  Is it really that serious?  Has anyone else ever had to face that kind of justice?  Or is it just because this is "Michael Vick?"  Sounds like a raw deal to me.

The problem with the Atlanta Falcons is not the more recent Michael Vick situation.  This organization has been having problems since the days of Billy "White Shoes" Johnson.  Now, that's no reflection on Mr. Johnson.  But the Atlanta Falcons really don't blend well the right kinds of talent.  Because look at this.

Before the dog fighting charges, Michael Vick was the Atlanta Falcons offense.  This offense was built around him, in support of him.  Who does that?  I mean, it may sound like a good idea, but it's bad karma.  Because let's really focus on the true cause of the Atlanta Falcons problems.

Now, I don't care how much money they spend to go out and get a good quarterback, if that person don't have a supporting offensive line; then he's basically screwed from the snap.  The Atlanta Falcons needs a strong offensive line.  This will bring about a better running and even passing game.  Point blank.  So, that's the first thing.

Second, the Atlanta Falcons need capable receivers, who can not only "CATCH A PASS" but who can also run after the play.  As of now, Algae is the only qualified receiver that the Atlanta Falcons have.  But wait a minute.  He plays the position of tight end.     Can anyone see the problem with this?

The Atlanta Falcons needs to stop being so casual with its players and put together the right balance of talent.  If they can't do the job, then cut them.  Michael Vick is only one person and one player.  He does not represent the entire team or the offense of that team.  With the right balance of talent, it doesn't matter who the quarterback is.  A winning team is a winning team.

And this isn't a winning team.  Too much drama.    Not enough talent.

Remember back when Michael Vick gave the fans "the finger", after a poor performance and a losing game by the Falcons?  Well, maybe that was just the beginning of Vick's problems.  But not just a problem for Michael Vick, a much deep seated problem for the entire Falcon franchise.

Now, no one can't dispute that Micheal Vick is one of the most exciting athletes to play the game of football.  But what ever happen to sportsmanship, showmanship and an overall disciplined grace?  It would appear that a lot of the new comers, who have been granted the opportunity to play professional sports, lack that kind of integrity.  In my opinion, I think that it has a lot to do with the fact that a lot of these guys are not properly groomed before they suit up.  Meaning, they are rewarded with huge contracts, which fuels huge egos; but without the proper discipline and grooming, many of them are left to invest in things that can hurt both their careers and life.

But maybe this is a blessing in disguise for Michael Vick and the Falcons.  If Vick is plucked or sidelined, it would give the organization a chance to really focus on grooming the entire teams towards successful season.  Right now, Vick is a distraction for them.  And there's no possible way that Vick would be able to return to the line and quarterback, knowing that the defensive linemen are going to have a "field's day" with him.  I'm how can someone effectively focus on running plays, when they have an entire defense coming at them, saying rude comments and making barking noises?  Every game would become a Vick roasting.  And it could possibly hurt the team more so than it would Michael Vick.

So, pluck Vick!  Sit him down.  Make him the number two man.  Use him when you need him.  Bring the focus around the team and not just a team member.  This is a great opportunity for other players to step their game up and show their athleticism.  Vick's problems shouldn't be the Falcons problems.  Maybe their concerns, since he is huge chunk of their salary.  But Vick has to deal with Vick.  Right now, he's his own worst enemy.  The public has already convicted the man, without giving him a fair trial.  And regardless of how this situation ends, it's going to take a long time for Vick to put this behind him.  Football will continue.  As for Michael Vick?  Well, maybe it's best that's kept on a leash for now.  You think?     Somehow, I feel the need for a prayer.
